how will i get a stall or shop. i meen im a trader and there r richer peeps then me
why should ppl who do no trading at all get to buy a shop.
even with a event its unfair
traders should get the first up on shops to stimulate the econmy and i meen ppl who have shown there loyalty to being rts trader
dnt get me wrong i lvoe calypso shes is my home planet but honestly
why nshould traders fro m calypso attmept profit, why should rich ppl add a shop
even iof its not me who gets a shop THATS FINE but traders who r trying to help the planet should have first dibs on the shops

Because I have a shop on Calypso and flit to and fro between there and Rocktopia does not imply that I am rich. Yes, I have had a couple of lucky breaks. I have also depoed huge amounts from time to time, more than sanity would most likely permit. The 15 000 ped I used to buy my shop was originally depoed to purchase one of the original 14 booths Qetesh was going to place at Nea's Place(priced at 22 000 ped each). Ma/FPC eventually deemed that due to rescource usage, only one could eventually be placed. This one booth was obviouysly reserved for someone far more important than myself. It also needs to be noted that Qetesh was also very gracioous and offered me a booth in an alternate location at a greatly reduced price, which I declined.

As to your claim of being a "Trader" ... I am sorry but this means diddly squat to me. My definition of a "Trader" ... someone who buys and/or sells goods to make a profit or to gain the best possible return on his/her goods.. This would have to include every participant of the MA/FPC Continuim. If not everything you find/loot would simply be dumped into a Trade Terminal. If anyone is one of those kinds of participants .... Please come see me, let me be your TT.

As for those who stand at TPs spamming "Buying this or Buying that" I have tried it and found it to be a joke. I will buy stuff from other players provided they are being realistic about the price they want fot their goods. Lets face it, if Nikisarium is selling on the Auctions at 134% DMU/WMU, I am not going to pay you 132% when I can place an order and get it for 128%. Add into the mix that most people do their hunting/mining/crafting runs on a budget of most likely less then 1000 ped. These people want to dispose of their goods as quickly and as profitably as possible, I understand this, they want to go out and do it all over again.

How they can expect a premium price for a minimul amount of any goods is beyond me. Now, take into account, "YOU ARE ON ROCKTOPIA" You are 80 ped away from a market that is going to give you a decent price for anything you have got. As a "Buyer/Reseller" you take the chance that any goods you purchase will hold their value long enough for you to return to Calypso and sell it at a profit or someone on Rocktopia is willing to buy it from you at a higher price then you paid for it. Either way these goods need to cover your travel costs as well.

Don't throw yourself on the ground and cry "Unfair ! I want a looly pop too !" Go out and earn it, don't expect it to be handed to you on a silver platter with a silver spoon. ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ! If someone were able to aquire a shop or something similar due to an event, then I wish them the best. Rich, poor, noob or Ancient Participant, win lose or draw, just being part of such things is enough to earn you respect.

I think you will find we plan to use creative methods to help keep the price of setting up shop on ROcktropia to a minimum at the early stages...

Regarding promotion, it may look quiet, but there is tons going on behind the scenes toward marketing and bringing new artists on board...

It is very key for some of the fundementals of our RT economy to be inplace before we go completely ballistic
With our marketing, however we are going ballistic with laying thefoundation for our marketing... So theres plenty to look forward too.

As usual it all takes time, but were in this together so im sure we will find things to do to keep things interesting.
