Hello all.

Recently I was aproached by some Rocktopian Citezens and asked if I would consider coming to Rocktopia to help allieviate the need for Traders. Having seen the difficulties that Rocktopia has undergone in the past in regards to "Trading Needs" I have decided to "test the waters". As I do not have bottomless pockets with peds spilling out the top, there are things that I must take into consideration.

Firstly, there is of course, my limited funds.
Due to the fact that I have a shop on Calypso, a large portion of my usuable funds are tied up here. But I believe that I am able to at least start doing some trading on Rocktopia.

Secondly, the viability and profitability of such an undertaking.
I have to be realistic and take both these aspects into consideration. I have always believed in the viability, so there is little to be said there. The profitability however, will be a little more difficult to come to terms with. Not just for myself, but also for the Citezens of Rocktopia. Due to transport and Iner-Planetary Travel costs it will be very difficult to match the prices of the Auctions Traders on Calypso. There is little I can do about this, but I will strive to bring my prices as close as I can.

Thirdly, the ever lurking dangers of Piracy.
This final aspect is the most difficult contender for such an endeavour. Regardless of how well I may or may not get on with different Pirates or Pirate Factions, word will quickly spread and they will come hunting for me. I may get away with it for some time and I may not get away with it at all. I have no doubt that eventually I will fall victim to them. I accept this aspect of Inter-Planetary Travel, sadly, so must the Citezens of Rocktopia. It is this alone that will force me to keep[ the prices I pay for your Materials/loots at a premium low. Although this is not forced on you or me by my doing, I apologize for the burden we all must bear because of Piracy.

Please keep in mind that if you decide to trade with me, even though you may not be geting the prices available on Calypso, what peds you get will stay safe with you on Rocktopia (or at least on your PED Card) and it is I who will suffer the direct loss and possibly the greatest loss.

If u need help transporting goods I can alwayd arrange a mothership with warp capability for u. Reduces the risk element to almost zero with standard warp. But if u require absolute confidence im sure I can also get an escort for the soldiers of fortune mothership ( the alabama) for a small additional fee.Gl

Thank you for your confidence and offers. I will consider the offer of the MS Transport and contact you if needs be. I must apologize for my lackof being there the last couple of days. I have had to take a close look at my finances and try to clear a back log of materials purchased in the last week or so. I am amazed at the volume of rescources being offered by people. On several occassions I have had to stop trading due to lack of funds. It is my hope to improve on this over the coming weeks. I see a huge possibilty for me to be able to do reasonably well if I work things right. Sadly I have lost peds on some of my purchases during the week due to falling values on the markets. Overall I believe I am breaking even or maybe making a small profit. I hope the latter is the case.

As this is my first attempt at serious trading, it is a huge learning curb for me and I have no doubt mistakes will be made. Already I have found that their are a number of rescources I just can not purchase as they are just too difficult to resell. This is due to wither their rareity or their over abundance. As well, there are others that are undergoing drastic market changes and I have to keep a close eye out for those. Hopefully my abiltiy in trading will improve with time.

I have tried to compare my prices to other traders on Calypso and found that currently they are comparable and better then the general trader. I do fall short of the better traders, but these seem hard to find even on Calypso.

As you will have noticed I have also been offering an "import service". Some people have asked what my charges are for this service. There is no charge. Whatever price I aquire it for on Calypso is what you will pay. It is also my intention, in the near future, to carry a number of mining amps and lower level weapons on me. At this stage it is quite difficult to do thhis due to my lack of funds. Most of these things will not sell instantly and will tie up funds that I just do not have at this time. A booth or shop would be more ideal for this purpose, but again funds are a problem as well as the availabilty of real estate on Rocktropia.

I will end my rambling here and let you know at a later date of my progress and future intentions as I am able to put them in place.
