In the recent Merry Mayham hunting event there was some confusion between levels and maturitys. How do you think they should be graded?
For me i prefer names and then use the scanner to give me info on what level they are on (that they do at the moment). I know NDS has base model they have to work with MA, but i never understood this level labeling. Their is certain mobs that used to be round COD (london girl, new york) who had 10 -12 level, but was dead easy to kill. this would confuse the new player thinking they could kill that type of level. Also you can get 4 diffrent levels of Hurlem hustler that all look the same.

While I can understand the original confusion that sometimes comes with a first encounter of some of RT's mobs, I think the name system is worth preserving. It is interesting and represents the spirit of this planet. MA's level system offers no better clarification and is quite dull. The numbered levels seem to provide reference between maturities of a single mob but their relevance appears less clear when compared to a different mob, as noted by the OP. What is missing for us here is the reference material that can quickly, easily and definitively classify each mob. Entropedia provides the platform, but without the information filled in for the mobs on RT, it is of little use. If this database were complete (and verified correct by NDS) then I feel a great deal of the confusion will be erased while maintaining some of the richness of the RT experience. I guess I would have to vote both in order to keep the names and still have numbers as a secondary reference (I admit I have trouble remembering the maturity order of provider-guardian-dominant for instance) as well as to keep some semblance of continuity across the Universe. But the names should be preserved in my humble opinion.

I'd prefer a more clearer system than the current one whatever that system is. As long as it has some logical pattern.

Some people would like to keep the current names if that be the case maybe they should be changed and something added at the front of names to identify mob type. For example crunk sharks could all be labelled at start with "El Dopey", so full name could be El dopey crunk shark tooth assasin :-)

    lol

I prefer the names but think they should actually be simplified in a few cases. They seem to follow mob name then maturity, if they have one. It is just that the names of some are too long. Caly has the same variety of names for maturities it's just we are used to them, animal, insect, warriors, and mobster types by maturity. I like that the different planets can use different names but simple, one word ones would be better and quicker to identify. Crunkshark Assassin, Crunkshark Hustler, Crunkshark Reefeater, for example. I think the level system was just added because MA was just trying to "keep up with the Joneses" and appear like some other games for the most part. The biggest problem seems to be that most are taking the levels to be game wide when they are not, a 40th level Demon Hacker is not the same strength as say a 40th level Atrox so it is not uniform. It does seem somewhat game wide to add to the confusion but a 40th level fighter and a 40th level medic are 2 very different encounters (an example assuming they are mob types) which also doesn't help to make any sense out of the numbers. On multiple maturity mobs this allows for sub-maturities to be identified but do we really need to know one Old Alpha is 2 levels higher than his brother Old Alpha? At best all they really tell you is that an Atrox Stalker is higher than an Atrox Young, which we already know by the name. I voted for Name and agree they should be concise and follow some logical pattern. I don't mind having to learn the pattern though, that makes the planets unique as they should strive to be. It is not a planets' fault I travel so I'd expect to have to learn the language somewhat.
