They Looted very well for me at first but now kind of suck... I would love to see what an event like this would spur out of the loot pool so I think I am game. Is it solo or team?

All events through the ingame event system are solo. When in the event area you automatically leave any team you were in before entering. You can get around this by making an arrangement with friends to hunt as a "team" but loot will go to the person who does most dmg, so you will have to have some arangement for sharing loot afterwords or something like that.
