The idea would be,

30-60 minute event, not sure which would be best.
Held in an urban land area with very few mobs that also has a revival terminal.

No Armor, No healing.
Radar turned off.
TTmelee weapons only (sword, knife or fist)(this would really bring out the hand to hand combat in a large area and could be lots of fun, esp with the radar turned off)

1st prize = All the weapon decay from the entire event. (I have been in bar fight events on calypso where this alone was over 200ped in prize money)
2nd prize = a Smacker One(L) fist
3rd prize = a Smacker One(L) fist (only if there were enough participants to pay for the cost of a third prize, if its a small turn out then just 1st and 2nd prizes would be awarded)

Ticket price:
Option 1 = 2,000 bottles of sweat
Option 2 = 10ped

This would be somewhat of a competition between the "sweaters" (those who paid with sweat) and the "High Rollers" (those who paid with ped)

If it became a weekly event then I would keep a score card with each weeks winners with 1st place being awarded 5pts, 2nd place awarded 3pts, and 3rd place 1point.

There would be no monetary reward for this (at least to start with) but it could become a matter of pride and revenge amongst the two factions.

Obviously if it was sponsored there would be no need for entry fees. Or would there? I'm not sure how that is supposed to work.

It Would be interesting to see how a sponsorship would work for something like this. Would it just be event fees+prizes, or would time and energy be compensated as well? The advantage to using the event system is it encourages entrepreneurship, the problem is that the fee is high enough to make it near impossible to run low level events without loosing ped.

Wow excellent idea Code Monkey! in a small area like the PVP (Yellow) rooftop in New Harlem city with spectators on the lower lvl this would be an excellent weekly event we could setup! I'd gladly contribute. I think there's a small PVP (Red) at the Docklands PVP on Zomhattan.

As Narfi said also, the melee weapons seem to be better for smaller combat areas - if there were enough people joining it would be awesome to have no radar and a time limit to win.

Hyde and Mourning Star already started this events, and a few already took place.
People seem to like it. So it might be very cool if we get some support for it Marius since
right now they provide their own prices.

Well I had a similar racing idea theme, and in fact it's more along the lines of "The Cannonball Run" or the Baja 500. It's sort of a road rally and would be a bit of a challenge as you would have to use your driving prowess to get around mobs, and figure your way to your destination.

Now the idea is simple.. a race from Tangerine (The Starting Point) to Lemmy's Bridge (The Current Finish Line, (but of course if there could be some modifications at certain locales (Most notably the Motorhead Stadium Beer Gardens, Lemmy's Bridge, and most notably the skull village gate (at the end of the Bridge), this race could be extended all the way to entrance of Lemmy's Castle.

The idea is really simple.. Run from Point A to Point B in the shortest time possible. But there's a catch, and here's where 'Vehicle Integrity' would come into play. In case of Identical times, The car with the higher integrity (Max points 300) would be declared the winner

Of course the other thing is that people could go which ever way they want, and who knows? Maybe we could have what is called a "Le Mans" Style start..(Cars Placed on a starting grid, and drivers at a start location. At a signal, the drivers (and possibly their navigators if we choose to use Valkyries) would run to their vehicles, jump in and take off in the shortest direction possible.

In the end like I said, the idea is to have the fastest time, and the highest structural integrity on the car at the end of the race.

Another Possibility could be "The Zombie Dash" From the Docklands to the Upper east side (and this too would take some daring, as one of the checkpoints would be "The Biodome Badlands" Teleporter (With all those Neverdie dragons around, who's crazy enough to drive under that mob? Of course you would have to dodge Zombies and Lone Wolves as well..

But these are just a couple of racing ideas I have come up with.

I would love to hear other racing ideas (of course, then there's that Idea or racing across Zomhattan Park with actual weapons on board..

But hey, anything's possible!

Do you remember when you still were a child ?
Hunting for treasures ... people would leave clues and you would search the house
for a candy prize?
Well, my idea is the same - but with a ROCKy twist on it. It's basically a Geocache event in the 'real' ROCKTROPIA world.

So what do we need?

+ We need people with cars. To be exact ... the 2-seaters.
To enter the competition you need to team-up with a friend and be in a team with him/her.
+ We need Marius (with a lot of objects - to be set up as clues)
+ We need the grand prizes :
1. Prize 2x Saehrimnir Mk2
2. Prize 2x Valkyrie Mk2
3. Prize 2x Valkyrie Mk2
4.-10. Prize 2x Mind Force Chip (The healing one)

So what will happen ?

All participants will gather at a designated area - I recommend Studio Street.
A map will be released on the event thread on the forum at the time of the start of the event.
The two first waypoints will be given on that very map. Every waypont will have a clue to one part of the two part coordinates.
Once the two waypoints have been visited by the participants and the coordinates of the thirs waypoint are known, the race continues.
Clues are left all over the ROCKTROPIAN landscape ... every clue leads to another clue ... and finally ... to the location of the FINISH.
At that location the victory-committee will wait and congratulate the first 10 teams and give out the prizes.
All participants that do not finish top10 will be rewarded with 5 PED to recompensate them for their efforts and gas used.

Why is this a good idea ?

- People get to explore the large area of RT.
- People get to work as a team.
- Requires witts and smarts to figure out the clues (but they won't be too ridiculously hard)
- Nice prizes and exclusive NEW vehicles for the top 3 teams.
- Everyone loves a treasurehunt ;p

It's actually harder than you would think trying to roll off a TP,
Would b e good to do at Mullholland or Studio Street TP to save the confusion as it's a popular TP.
