Hya there guys from what ive read you seem to have some probs trying to find a right way to broadcast music to your clubers well im a irl Dj and ive also worked for some website based radio stations and from that i got a idea if you got everyone at the club to tune into your radio station which would be a shoutcast server you could play all the music u wanted then without having to fill in anyforms or anything like that and i dont think you could sue anyone for playing music virtualy as aslong as you arent asking people for money your fine but i guess you will be so that would bring that problem up i do remember someone on SWG trying to do the same and they acctualy sent a email to all the song artists requesting there permission to use there music at his club [which never opened btw do to his leaving game] and he had bought all the songs on CD i kno ive seen them and they responded kindly some didnt mind some acctualy did mind so it can work doing it that way anyway only trying to give you some help wouldnt mind helping out setting up ur Dj's helps with some irl experience

    :P

Just noticed the text on realityport main page about DJ'S. It looks like ND is now accepting applications from DJ's to play at the CLub in future. Maybe send some stuff in?

Email is clubbing@realityport.com but check out realityport.com and see what it says :P

actually... this is not really correct. there is a small loophole in the copyright laws, and a dj who is mixing music from one track to the next is in fact altering the music from its orignal form, thus make a copyright issues invalid.

how do i know this? i am the owner of ravetrax.com, an online broadcasting site. we stream audio and video using shoutcast/winamp, we are also the flahship beta team for winamp, shoutcast, and nsv (nullsoft video).

copyright issues have been thrown at us more than i care to count, and each time we crawl through our loophole and wave.

and i'm still waiting on that phone call from neverdie explaining when i can get on the decks and stream a nasty goa/psy set for you guys...

but if it make any difference, i do a live set every saturday night just tune into ravetrax and go hunting, or dacing at CND...

Thanks thats some great info , I am having a look through your website now and just waiting for the stream to load.

I also know that Neverdie also has a deal with BMG so we can expect this to be an awesome year for virtual worlds combining with real life.

Thanks again for the info and hope to hear you sometime at CND

I can vouch for ravetrax being a nice site. And I've listened to the Saturday night mix and really enjoyed it.

I just gave Rave a call... CND is set up for streaming. Everything is in place and tested. We're also ready to line up a few Residnet DJ's, which is why we are accepting submissions. I'm waiting till after the club is actually implemented before I book our first major artists. But we will be networking at the Winter Music Conference in March and other cool stuff is in the pipeline...

We have made licensing arrangements, so we can legally Spin what we want.

Definately want to have a some Rock, Metal and Hip Hop besides the House music and Electronica...

Eventualy when all the club areas are open and we're packed we can have different streams into each club...

Theres tons of great stuff that can be done with this once we are up and running. Cant wait.
