Discussion on the article

Let's see ... I think the article was well written, well balanced and objective without tilting one way or the other with regard to ND/CND or EU ... had some guts to it with regard to good and perhaps not so good, and provided yet more publicity and coverage for the "rock" which in turn will hopefully spark more interest in the IRL community to come check it out.

After all ... CND is a part of the entire Entropia Universe environment, and if CND is successful, then that success has the potential to spill over into other areas of EU, right? CND, Treasure Island, and Land Areas may all be individually owned, but the success of these individual entities has an impact on the overall success of EU. It just so happens that ND is assertive/aggressive in his efforts to put CND/EU on the map so to speak, and historically since CND's launch, I'd say he's had quite a go of it and also quite successful at that go.

My 2 cents ... what does everyone else think?

I was surprised with the depth of research. Also the cover was a great Surprise.. Its great that he shows all sides of the coin. He even makes fun of me using the NY Times article as his source..

I enjoyed it, well written. And filled with tons of pictures so its great exposure..

It was a great article, and well balanced (as mentioned above by MS9 and ND).

I found myself learning from it, which in my opinion proves good research. I'm still a n00b (playing since october 2005), so I'm not very familiar with what happened before that. Actually, ND purchasing the asteroid made headlines here in Norway which was the reason I heard of PE/EU and decided to give it a try.

As for the marketing value of the article - "priceless"!!!

I consider myself fortunate to be in this community, and I am grateful to everyone in it. NEVERDIE especially. Thank you for the effort you put in. We all benefit from it.

Where is it that the noobs actually spawn? Sniper and I were in the Disco the other day and an O.J. appeared before our eyes near the TP.

I didn't think to ask him if he'd actually spawned in the disco or had teleported there, however I had to teach him how to use the TP, so my assumption was that he had spawned in the disco.

You can tell when someone is brand brand new (besides their stylin' orange suit) because they sort of stand there starting to look around, trying to figure out how to walk, talk, and move.

Anyway, nice guy, and Sniper and I gave him the full tour, sweating lessons, and a quick hunting demo .. set him up with a couple of pieces of pixie I'd looted, and introduced him to our great community neighbors.

P.S. The article was indeed very thorough and well balanced showing the various angles. It's great to see such nice articles lately that are so well written and thought out, which will hopefully appeal to people outside of the typical "gamer" community, as well.

Good article , showing things from the other side of the cash-cow too.

I enjoyed the article. I thought it was good and found it amazing to find out so much more about NEVERDIE & Family.

Its a shame there are soo many green eyed monsteres on Entropia forum that cant see the same.

Thanks for another insight in to your truly amasing life style. I wish i had a cool dad that made money in a virtual universe. ( even though i am 28 ) and I could have taken him to school
