CND's DANCE PARTY for the MEDIA - @-->---
It was about mid-evening (7:30pm USA/-4 MA) when I arrived home from teaching my class. I changed, got comfortable and relaxed, and then decided I would jump online to take care of a couple of things planetside while Moonie was off at work. I'm going somewhere with all of this, so hang in here with me.
I had 2 pilots online and decided to see who was available to do a quick roundtrip. First I contacted Steele ... sweetheart that he is, he's usually available at a moment's notice, but was caught up planetside himself and couldn't get to CND right away. So then I PM'd ToolMan ... another cool dude for sure, and also ready at a moment's notice.
ToolMan ... UDAMAN Honey, and for all the reasons I'll mention throughout this post. TM got my diva-dancin' self down planetside in no time flat ... the fact that he had to come from planetside to CND in order to do it was no challenge for him. Not bad havin' a personal escort to take care of a little business ... he even kept me on task so that I could get back right away ... especially after what transpired just before take-off.
I was about to leave CND with TM for the quick roundtrip when I got a PM from NEVERDIE. We had chatted by phone earlier about establishing my "profession" with CND (which is another thread I'll be posting), so I figured it was just his usual "hi, how are you doing" or a follow-up to the earlier conversation, but Noooooooooo ... he said ... "hey Ms. Event Coordinator, I have a job for you."
I was thinking, ok ... take the trip planetside, complete the business, get back to CND and think about whatever it was he needed me to do. Well ... it wasn't going to happen exactly that way ... he was already engaged in a meeting with Christof, a journalist from the Swiss magazine DIE WELTWOCHE and was involved in giving him a tour of CND.
I love my CND Boss, I really do, BUT ... he sure knows how to give me a challenge on a moment's notice. He asked me to gather up as many people as possible and get them into the newly opened main Club NEVERDIE within the hour <-- you read that right. ND wanted to at least give the journalist an idea of what the club would be like with people dancing and having a good time.
I turned to ToolMan calmly (ok, maybe not calmly) and said ... I'm on a mission my dear and I'm going to solicit your help, you up for it? Without hesitation he jumped onboard and the rest was a snowball effect that helped to pull the evening off CND style.
TM waited at the hangar while I rushed to Zues to take care of my business. I clicked auto-run and headed for the North Base Station TP and then started PM'ing everyone on my FL. TM did the same thing and contacted his soc m8s. We were running at Mach-2 but still in stealth mode, flyin' below the radar to avoid any obstructions in accomplishing this mission. One by one I was able to get people to commit to coming to the club within 30 minutes, so it was looking good.
I finished my business and got back to the hangar as quickly as possible ... TM was conducting his own business and was able to secure 3 more passengers in my absence, which was all of 10 minutes if even that. We rushed back to CND, and little did I know that the passengers that TM collected were in fact headed to the club to become part of this impromptu dance party for the media.
One by one, people started showing up at the club, but I was still busy in PM's getting others to PM their FL buddies to invite them to the club. I managed to get a few pics of course, but this storyline won't be as lengthy in pics as usual, but still visuals that clearly show what a good time we were having. I had everyone go to Reality Port, click on the Radio link, and then choose Club NEVERDIE Live so that we were all listening to the same music.
When you first walk into the club, there's this wow-factor that kicks in first ... a gobsmacker that catches you dead in your tracks and holds you hostage while your eyes take it all in.
Once you've adjusted to the magnitude of it all, as well as the brilliant colors, you realize that there's more than one level. Aside from the ground level dance floor, there are two upper levels that are accessed from the VIP area of the club which is on private and invitation only. However, there are those (no names ... ---> Steele) who figured out how to break the barrier at the ground level to get to the stairs that lead up to the second level platform of the nightclub.

CND's DANCE PARTY for the MEDIA ... Cont'd
I couldn't see too much from the ground level of the dance floor, so I decided to head up through the VIP area to the upper-most level and walk the catwalk to the glass dance floor so I could keep an eye on Steele. He's always workin' the bar at the monthly dance contest so I wanted to see if he had snuck anything into the club unnoticed.
After walking the catwalk and reaching the glass dance floor, I could see everyone else below dancin' their booties off and lookin' GOOD. I PM'd ND to see how much longer he would be and he said he was on his way. I passed the word on to everyone else, and as I looked over the railing at the second level platform, I could see that Johnny and one other cool lookin' male avatar had joined Steele, but then I also noticed that empty bottles of booze were already cluttering the platform around them. Obviously they were havin' a good time.
NEVERDIE finally arrived at the club, but Christof was actually with ND IRL and watching ND on the computer monitor, so cool. ND remained on the ground level dance floor for a few minutes and danced with the group there while I continued to shake what my momma gave me up on the glass dance floor with an eye on Steele to make sure he didn't corrupt the guys dancin' next to him TOO much.
ND indicated that he was going to open up the VIP area, and then invited everyone up to the top level glass dance floor. Good thing ND opened up the VIP area, bcuz Steele and his drinkin' buddies were either going to have to discover a way back thru the barrier they breached to get to the second level platform, or jump the railing on the platform to get back to the ground level dance floor bcuz they wouldn't have been able to get thru the door leading into the other VIP area.
One by one people started walking across the catwalk on the upper level to the glass dance floor where Dannei had joined me after entering the club earlier. However, poor Dannei's daughter was sick and he had to pop in and out to take care of her, but one time after signing back in, he somehow got elevated and ended up dancing in air the rest of the night.
If you look to the right of me in the center of the glass dance floor you'll see Steele carrying on like no tomorrow, but also please notice that he's now in his blue underwear ... most likely a result of over-indulgence ... take a look at the strewn booze bottles on the second level where he left all the evidence.
More people reached the upper level and it was turning into a nice group, however, ND hadn't arrived yet, and looking through the glass floor I could see Jimbo and Raven still dancing on the platform below. I shouted to them (ok, I typed it in the chat window) to come up and join us, and before long they were on their way. Hmmm ... wonder why someone dropped some Midastree Board down there.
Before they left the ground level platform to join us up top, I zoomed out to get a better pic ... after all, Raven was the 1st Place Winner of the April "Make IT Happen" dance contest last weekend. Goes to show that once you catch the bug, there's no turnin' back.
ND finally arrived and danced with us a bit for the benefit of Christof who was viewing this on monitor with ND. However, it wasn't too long before ND said ... "keep dancing guys, I'll be back in a minute" ... little did everyone know that ND had something else up his sleeve ... always full of surprises.
It wasn't long before ND arrived back at the club, but he wasn't alone ... he brought a guest with him ... a female guest dressed in orange and a hat. ND introduced her as Anna ... and Anna was with us to film the evening's activities for the Discovery Channel and a 2 hour special documentary she's producing called "Blood, Sweat & Code" which will be aired later this year. They joined us at the upper level and while ND took a prominent spot on the glass dance floor, Anna stood on the catwalk and rolled the cameras. Dannei was still float-dancin' which should have made for some interesting filming, and I was SO hoping she didn't catch the empty booze bottles that Steele and his buddies left behind, but then maybe that's all part of clubbing, huh? *Not that extreme next time Steele, ok?*

CND's DANCE PARTY for the MEDIA ... Cont'd
Some people had to leave bcuz it was rather late for them, but there was still enough of us to head to the ground level dance floor when ND said that Anna wanted to do some filming near one of the statues. It was turning out to be a rather interesting evening to say the least.
I've worked close enough and long enough with ND to know to expect almost anything. Never know when he's going to pull another rabbit outta the hat, but after regular dancing for a bit so that Anna could get in some filming, ND decided to jazz it up. Whoa, a little firestorm action and GREAT BALLS 'O' FIRE ... I was able to catch it on film, but couldn't tell whose edges he frayed in the process. I just know that it was powerful enough for me to clench my butt-cheeks and cause a wedgie. Once my eyes got past the fireballs, I could see how serene Calypso looked off in the distant universe, and thought about all those people who missed an impromptu yet awesome party night.
I want to give a tremendous thank you to ToolMan for transporting me to Calypso and back on such short notice, and also for not only keeping me on task, but for jumping in to help make this evening the success it turned out to be. Also, thanks to all of you who turned out for this spontaneous clubbing night, and for adding your own personal flavor into the mix to make it so much fun. Personality and humor galore ... keeping it virtually real, and keeping it fun.
Personal thanks to the following:
ToolMan
Steele
Dannei
Jena
Roliz
Jimbo
Raven
Johnny
Panx
Aia
Olly
Luna
Gaten Illum
Decibelle
Tommy Gun
And to my dear Boss who likes to challenge my event organizing skill level ... I believe I have beat my own record and unlocked "beat the clock"
urplelaugh: ... thank you for keeping me on my toes, and affording me yet another opportunity to showcase what can only be labeled the beginning of an extraordinary look into what's to come.
And on an ending note ... Moonie, I missed you tremendously. While it was fun, it just wasn't the same without you Baby.
YOU ARE NOW FREE TO REPLY TO THIS THREAD
THANK YOU FOR WAITING
PS ... I'll be working on MIH-4 "After Party" storyline on Friday!

I am sorry I am not able to log in at the minute, or I would have been there also, shaking my thang.
I am closer to getting back in game (work is a pain at times
) .. someone tell ND to leave some dance events for me to take part in.
Hopefully Etopia hasn't sold my new set of clothes that I promised myself before I went away.... I have a feeling that Aetherex will look good on me

I really enjoyed this picture story MS9! And it's so cool to think about the Discovery Channel doing a show, I can't wait to see that.
I was poking around New Oxford last night and caught a glimpse of ND and Anna...wish I had known who that was, I would have said hi!
