Once again, the "Make IT Happen Dance Contest" was a success, even tho it appeared at the beginning that there were going to be challenges with the music provided by RaveTrax. However, Rava rose to the challenge and came thru with flyin' colors and gave us a mix of music that kept the contestants as well as the onlookers groovin' to the beat.
I would personally like to say thank you not only to RaveTrax for providing such adrenaline pumping beats to move our feet (ok, and the rest of the bod), but to those who consistently and generously donate to our monthly prize pot. Those who support this event can only look forward to bigger and better things ... and now that the main Club NEVERDIE is about to be launched, you can only imagine the possibilities. And without further teasing ... on with the dance contest storyline!
"MAKE IT HAPPEN DANCE CONTEST 4"
It's usually customary that yours truly jumps up on the disco ball platform to shake the booty a few times in order to get the crowd goin' but this time it looked like they were pretty much in the groove already, even tho the music hadn't been set up yet with RaveTrax due to temporary difficulties but those were eventually worked out. So I attended to other contest business like setting up the team chat for the judges and talking with Moonie on Skype in preparation for his fireworks that signal the official start of the dance contests.
In traditional form, it was time for the contest to start so Moonie's fireworks gave the official notice that it was ON.
The official contestant list for MIH-4 is as follows:
Dolph - Delta Force
Joe - Delta Force
LighterThief - Delta Force
Raven - Mystic Hunters
Miss X - SWE Corp
Arthur - SWE Corp
Asti - Scorpio
Hega - The Cult of Apollo
Aviril - Freelancer
Wildman - Desperate House Men
Tyirepl - Raumschiff Titanic Crew
Zhorgul - Legendary CMC
Cougar - Swedich Drunken Vikings
La - The Angels
As you can see, we had a nice turnout of contestants who had plenty of floor space to do their thing. Not only that, it also looked as if a couple of socs decided to make the dance contest a day out together, and even shared in the "After Party" festivities, but that's the next storyline.
And speaking of doing your thing ... Moonie was not going to be able to stick around that long since he had to run off to work so he wouldn't be available to do any judging this go round. Freyr was gracious enough to fill in for Moonie, so thank you Freyr for bringing your colorful self into the mix and giving a hand with the judging ... much appreciated.
Dancin' dude that Moonie is, far be it from him to NOT get a groove on even tho he wouldn't be judging or able to stick around for the entire contest and after party. He was able to get a few ppl movin' on the sidelines prior to the contest starting, including ... "Jimbo" ... "La" (one of the contestants) ... a sexy lookin' "Mon" ... and even our after party DJ "Naki" from RaveTrax.com ... aka "Zoe" ingame.
This contest was even harder to judge bcuz ppl listened up when we said to "bring it" ... the last couple of contests have raised the bar with regard to unique moves, but it had to be more than just unique moves, it had to be in time with the music we were all listening to which added yet another dimension to the experience.
In yet another dance contest tradition, Seeker readied himself (and his whip) to once again traverse the dance floor in his ever-deceptive roaming moves prior to stopping in front of the next eliminated contestant. Taking the "ready whip" stance he would politely ask the next eliminated contestant to leave the dance floor but if they didn't move fast enough ... you guessed it, everyone heard the cracking of the whip. However, underneath it all he's a gentle soul (I think) bcuz when it came to eliminating the ladies he put his whip away and held a red flower in his hand. I think he felt really bad when he had to eliminate Miss X and actually proposed in the process of asking her to leave the dance floor.
As challenging as the elimination process was, we narrowed the contestants down to 10 ... despite the difficulties choosing who was next, we seemed to move the contest along a little faster now so Seeker remained in the corner on the dance floor until the next elimination was determined.
We eliminated two more contestants leaving 8 to battle it out, and in true Seeker form, once the next elimination was determined, he was on the move running and jumping around the dance floor not giving any clue as to who was next until he stopped in front of them with the now well-known whip and/or red flower. Seeker was so animated in his running around the dance floor and jumps that I think at times he may have startled the contestants.
In this captured moment it looks as if Dolph (in blue) flinched, poor Tyirepl (grey) had his back turned and was clueless but looked like he was about to take the brunt force of Seeker's jump while Zhorgul stood looking rather stunned. Wildman however looks as tho he might be attempting to catch Seeker ... not good Hon, you want to stay as far away from Seeker as possible in this contest.
Three more were eliminated and we were now down to 5 ... as Seeker walked out onto the dance floor yet again ... seemingly headed in Arthur's direction, Arthur just ignored him, hoping that he would just do one of his runs around the dance floor and pass him by.
Arthur got lucky this time bcuz Seeker moved over into the open space between Arthur and Raven in order to observe the dancers and wait for the official word on who was next to be eliminated.
After making the determination as to who would be eliminated next, we fully expected Seeker to do his usual thing but discovered that he must have gotten lost in the moment and the awesome music provided by RaveTrax bcuz next thing we know, Seeker is gettin' jiggy wit it and movin' his groove thing.
After we finally snapped Seeker out of it, he moved his groovin' self and his whip over in front of Tyirepl to deliver the bad news. Arthur, Raven, Joe and Asti just kept showin' us their stuff, altho Asti seemed a little concerned that Seeker might whip-up on Tyirepl ... *and you who walk around with a spiked club Asti? ... are you KIDDING me!*
Once again Seeker moved toward Arthur, and it seemed at first that Arthur wasn't going to take any chances in getting smacked with the whip, so it appeared that he was revving up his TP to make a quick exit (even tho it doesn't work on CND), but then Seeker broke out into dance again in front of Arthur, so he settled back down.
The final contestant was eliminated (Joe) in order to give us our top 3 contestants. Arthur and Raven continued their groove while Asti yet again seemed to be holdin' her sides tight in anticipation of a possible whip-crackin' ... but Joe left quietly.
It was now up to the final 3 to battle it out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Yes, Asti once again made it into the final 3, but for all those who were present at the last two contests, and now this one, it was more than apparent that Asti has been practicin' her ... hair off? ... and while some of her moves may not have been the official PE dance emotes, part of the uniqueness of your own personal style is being able to use everything available to you while still remaining in beat with the music and making it look smooth in the process.
It wasn't long before Seeker made his presence known once again, and in his usual whip-ready stance gave the message that it was now time to kick it up a notch and dance your booty off for 1st place.
The final 3 danced themselves into a frenzy before we finally made a determination as to who would take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Once again it was a challenging proposition, but following are the winners of "Make IT Happen Dance Contest 4" and their prizes ...
CONGRATUATIONS TO THE WINNERS

Raven - (Mystic Hunters) ... 505 PED Value
2ND PLACE

As is always the tradition as well, we end the dance contest after Seeker has given out the prizes with the official winners/judges pic. I want to thank Seeker yet again for not only coordinating another successful monthly dance contest but for his dance floor antics that truly add another dimension to pic-taking that has truly driven this particular storyline this time. Also, thank you BIG time for "Freyr" stepping in and taking Moonie's place as a judge. Your colorful ensembles and elimination input was valuable to say the least. BIG hug from me for your help.
Here is the final and official winners/judges contest pic ... from left to right we have ... Seeker (MC/Judge), Asti (2nd Place), Arthur (3rd Place), Raven (1st Place), MindStar9 (Judge), Freyr (Judge) ...
As everyone knows, there is always an "After Party" and this time was no exception. This story will most likely not be posted until later this evening (my time zone), or sometime tomorrow. It's a very time-consuming process to sort all the pics, put them in an identifiable folder, crop and resize them, and then upload to the gallery. Then the fun starts with writing the storyline with the pics, but then that too is a very time-consuming process. However, it seems that while most want to see the results right away, they're happy when the storylines show up, so stay tuned for the "After Party" presentation as well ... new location, same and different ppl, and even the Boss showed up for the fun ... this was truly a very special event ... and you won't want to miss how we ended it all.
HERE'S TO THE NEXT "MAKE IT HAPPEN DANCE CONTEST"
