It was time for the February "Make IT Happen" dance contest, and upon arrival at the CND Disco, it was apparent that only a few ppl had gathered, but there was still time before the contest began.

Since no one was on the dance floor warming up, we instructed everyone to click on "O" to disable their PE music, and then go to the EF forum, click on "Radio" and choose "Eurodance" so that we were all listening to the same music. This way, it would also be easier for the judges to see if moves by the participants were in sync with the beat.

Since few were moving to the dance floor, I thought I would take up my usual post levitating between the Disco Ball light and base and get the energy started.



After a short while, the crowd was gathering, and even the judges were gettin' their groove on while participants practiced their dance moves to the music.



All the participants were finally present, so Moonie signaled the start of the dance contest by setting off fireworks. (he's such a pyro)

As I stepped down from levitating to take my place as judge, I noticed that the steps had a new look thx to Arthur ... nice design there Hon ... it made the environment look more festive.



As I stood at the top of the stairs looking out at the participants getting into it, I noticed that Moonie hadn't taken up his position as a judge, but rather decided to take his pants off and spur on the dancers ... (too much Mudgkin influence perhaps?) ...



Then it ALSO came to my attention that Moonie had "de-pantsed" way before I noticed it here (see previous pic) ... definitely a hottie in those striped shorts ... but we had business to conduct here, so THAT business had to wait until later!

I quickly encouraged Moonie to join Seeker and I on the steps to have one last look at the dance floor to make sure everything was in order before taking up our strategic positions to view the dancing from different perspectives.

By the looks of it ... Moonie and Seeker had some high energy goin' on there, and standing in between them, I was able to catch the vibrations ... WhooHoo!!!

The participants continued to get their groove on and gave certain proof that they had been practicing ... some were just amazing right out the gate and we knew it was going to be a rather difficult decision to choose a winner, let alone the top 3 best dancers ...



At one point ... JJ hopped up into a levitating position between the disco ball and base and promptly did some spinning moves and jumps that were incredible but rendered me dizzy ... and no, my blondeness IRL had nothing to do with it!



Seeker, Moonie and I kept in communication via our Team Chat as judges in order to collectively decide who would be eliminated next until we got it down to the final three. Once a decision had been reached, Seeker, as MC of the dance events, made the announcement of who was eliminated next and had to leave the dance floor.

It was a challenge to say the least, but we took our time to discuss "why" we felt a person should be eliminated, as well as why someone should be allowed to continue.

FINALLY ... we whittled our way down to the last 3 standing ... and now it was going to be a challenge to determine who took 3rd place, who took 2nd place, and who was the grand prize winner in 1st place.

All three judges took up a position on the dance floor to watch the final 3 participants battle it out for the grand prize ... ya, I know, there's just something about levitating that adds to the experience for me.



After much deliberation ... we finally came to a decision as to who would place 3rd, who would place 2nd, and who would be the grand prize winner in 1st place.

In honor of reaching our final decision, Mr. Pyromaniac himself set off some fireworks to announce the end of the contest, and the revealing of who the 1st Place Winner was ...

AND THE 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place WINNERS ARE ...

1st Place - Asti ... (Scorpio) ... 300 PED

2nd Place - Nightbird ... (New Crafters, Inc.) ... 185 PED

3rd Place - Charly ... (Scorpio) ... 100 PED

The judges then stood behind the winners and had them do one last dance for the audience to show off the moves that won them their much deserved titles.



In celebration of yet another successful "Make IT Happen" Dance Contest ... the judges joined the winners in a final dance, and yet again, our resident CND Pyromaniac set off fireworks to make it even more festive.



Thank you to all participants, and especially to the winners for their incredible dance exhibition. You have truly set the bar high for the March "Make IT Happen" and we're hoping that others will get their dancin' shoes on and get creative in order to set the bar even higher.

Im glad there were a few ppl at the Dancecontest it feelsgood that there are other things going on here that are not officialluy run by MA etc but are created by the ppl that actually play the game :P

I've gathered alot of experience from this fun contest and have worked out some 8key combos which I'll be eager to show off the next time

Well must say it was a fun and little richer danceEvent.

From 460ped to 585 within 20min before start, I call that just in time :-)

We all help and creat a good event, no skills more then press keybord :-) so gues this event is a nutral one.
