Well how about that ... thx Jean, glad you enjoyed it. What amazed me is that so many read Part 1 but didn't get into Part 2. Perhaps it just wasn't their cup of tea.
I enjoy writing these picture storylines but they are very time-consuming to say the least. Just to give you an idea ... I take an enormous amount of pics whether it's an impromptu activity or a full-on major event, then after the dust has settled, this is what I do ...
1 - sort thru all the pics and pull out only those that are good screens and have potential ... I place them into a folder with the title of the storyline
2 - I then edit the pics so that they're easily viewable and not too dark, etc.
3 - I crop the pics to take out any unnecessary viewing area
4 - I resize the pics so that they meet with forum requirements for uploading, and will fit within the posting area bcuz I don't use links
5 - I sort thru the pics once again to see what potential there is for a good storyline, bcuz it's the pics that inspire the storyline ... I don't have the idea in mind ahead of time ... I just click the camera and get every possible shot, then go from there
6 - Once I have the flow of the storyline in mind, then I number the pics in the order they will appear in the storyline and upload them to the forum
7 - Then I start a new thread in my subforum and start pulling the storyline together
We can use 12 pics and/or icons in one single post, so I just write the entire storyline in one post so that it's complete, then I'll cut the portion that's over the 12 pic limit and paste that data into a Word document so that I don't lose it. I do a post preview and proofread it all, and when I'm satisfied with how it looks then I'll post it.
I'll hit the reply button and copy the next part of the storyline up to 12 pics and post, and so on until I'm finished. The shroom event storyline ended up with 73 pics, which in turn made for a very lengthy process in getting the storyline complete. The majority of the event storylines end up with a lot of pics, so that process can be a whole day's time to complete.
I'm glad that you appreciate the work. If you're up for it, you might want to do one of your own and post it in the "Community Contributions" area of this subforum.
Thx again!
