My apology for not having pics for the first part of this adventure, but didn't think it was going to be an adventure until well into the activity. However, it's a cute enough adventure that it should be enjoyable.
===============================
I signed on late Thursday night to check in on the ticket agents for Saturday's event to see how they were doing. I found my brother (Jetboy) online, mining of course, and after saying hello to him, he said that there was awesome music playing in the domes. I said cool, I'll check it out after I finish my chat with Odd Bunny.
Upon completion of the PM with the Bunny, I decided to check out the music in the domes that ND had streaming. He changes it up and always has something cool to keep our bootie-bumpin' selves engaged.
As I was running out of the apt, the Bunny was just about ready to enter and I almost ran into him. He asked if I was busy ... so I told him that I was about to go to the domes and listen to the music that Jet said was cool, but asked him what he had on his mind. The Bunny has this way of showing up in the most unusual places in the most unexpected times.
One time I signed on, there was the Bunny, sitting on the bed with the bunny that ND gave me as a bonus for doing one of the events, just having a nice little chat. I totally laughed my ass off bcuz the Bunny never knows when I'm going to be signing in. Once I was sitting in my usual chair in the "star gazing" sitting area about to sign off when ... POOF ... the Bunny appeared in one of the other chairs, so we ended up having a chat before I signed off. This was before he got his own apt and created his own "star gazing" sitting area where he signs off ... after he blows his own bunny a kiss GNite.
Ok, back to the adventure ... I asked Bunny what he had in mind and he said that it was time that he went shopping and added a bit more color to his wardrobe. He asked if I would go to the CND Mall with him to help pick something out. I said sure, so we headed off to the mall in search of something that would give the Bunny a little more flash than the gray Exo outfit I made him way back when.
I asked him if there was any particular shop he wanted to visit (being mindful of his finances of course), and he said let's go to Freyr's first. I said way cool bcuz if there's one thing Freyr has in his shop it's "color" and I'm sure we could probably find something suitable there.
Upon arriving at "Freyr's Fashions" we briefly looked at what was available on the upper level, but it was really the lower level Bunny wanted to explore for a pair of pants and shirt. We moved from table to table until we found what we thought would be a good match for the Bunny. We chose a flame pattern in blue and yellow, and the minute he put it on he started dancing true CND-style.
He had his eye on a matching blue bomber jacket with yellow edging, but he had already spent his clothing allowance on the pants and shirt. We couldn't have the Bunny lacking "total" hippness without the jacket, so I grabbed it up. Now that's what "I'M" talkin' about ... a spiffy-lookin' Bunny ready to take on ANYthing.
And SPEAKING of taking on anything ... Bunny said that Jet was in dome 20, so we were off and running to catch up with him. Bunny got to the TP before I did, and when I entered the dome, the Bunny was off and running in his new threads down the middle of the dome and S toward where we might find Jet. I had to stop and laugh for a minute bcuz it was just such a funny site ... there he was, running like all get out, and seemingly oblivious that he would be met head on by a herd of high maturity Cornholios (as Slick calls them), not to mention the Atrox Old Alphas that like to chomp your head off in one bite. I asked the Bunny if he was showing off his new outfit and he said no, just taking it for a test run. He simply cracks me up.
I quickly got into run mode and tried my best to catch up with the Bunny in hopes to get to him before some mob had him for dinner. I was closing in when I saw him shift more to the east wall, so I did the same. We managed to get to the south end of the dome and head west before meeting up with a couple of ppl who were there to mine. However, for most of the run, all I saw was this blue blurr that I tried to stay focused on so that I wouldn't wander off the path.
Once we started heading north again, we arrived at a hill or cliff of sorts just before the big valley. I told Bunny to stop for a sec since we were seeing mobs now, and not that far over into the east. I said ... wanna have a dance with a Cornholio? He said SURE, why not. That's what I like, someone who's always up for a little fun.
I said ... ok, get your dance bar set up and I'll use the plasma to call in that "Old" booger over there. Bunny got himself into position and wasted no time dancing while I took a shot and hit he bull's eye.
As the bull started approaching, I "Got Jiggy Wit It" but the Bunny now seemed a bit more apprehensive!
I stepped in front of Bunny to see if I could engage the bull in a little "Mob Chat" ... Bunny was moving into position behind me, but I think his eyes were on more than the bull!
As the bull got closer, Bunny said ... maybe if we run this way MS9 we can get away from it, but even in his attempt to point in one direction, his eyes were in another.
Bunny made a slight move as if to run in the direction he indicated and briefly caught the attention of the bull.
While the Bunny's new outfit is more colorful, the bull wasn't all that interested and turned its attention back to me. The Bunny made an attempt to step up and hold off the bull, but again, his attention was less than focused.
The Bunny seemed startled when the bull smacked me a good one and I went down, but perhaps if he was less distracted it might have turned out a little differently than it did.
As I lay all twisted in my dramatic pose on the terrain, the Bunny froze in his attempt to run and was engaged in a stare-down with the bull, not knowing whether to move or not.
The bull still didn't seem interested in the Bunny, but rather returned his focus to my breathless body in the dirt. As Bunny feared the bull would advance to make sure the deed was done, he tried to protect what was left of me. As he moved in place to shield me, the glow of the skull and crossbones caught his attention ... or did it?
