Ok folks....this is what you have been waiting for: The money shot!

I knocked out the rest of the quadrant today and I have completed the ore survey of Quadrant 1 of Rocktropia. I hit a another sweet spot around the stages in the middle of the quad. (see main stage, beer garden etc) Before you say, "Mob density," and make me have to jack slap you into next week...the wolves were annoying but lighter than some areas and the vamp chicks and vixens were almost completely pacifist. I walked right past those biotches and most of them didn't wanna break a nail on me. They must have heard about my rep as a bad ass SOB eh? Don't wanna mess with the Uberhoffer....ooooooooooooh.

Ok, back to reality... The maps. Remember, this is just quadrant 1.

For those of you that know Max U....you know he hates 2 things:

"No Resource Found" (UGH!) and.....

ENMATTERS!

When I first started the CND mining circuit a few years back, I loved enmats. My second enmat global ever came in dome 11 of CND: 3K of melchi. My first ever tower also came on CND: 21K nexus!!!. But...

After those hits, my enmatter hits started to take a serious down turn. I was barely globaling with a MA 107. I was not happy. As things got worse on the enmats, I saw all my friends hitting on ores. So, I chipped out enmatter skills so that I could equip and skill up my ores..and I never looked back...

Until now...

I just completed the quadrant 1 survey for ores and I was under budget, so I decided to knock out the enmats. I have been told by a few people that Rocktropia is known for its enmats, but they are deeper than the average finder will go. This meant I had to go deep and hard! I bought a finder and tiered it up to 9 and enhanced the heck out of it. I was set to go out on my matter run when I was approached by a friend (I wont name names) that wanted to chat.

This friend is a pretty well known miner in the game and he had an offer for me: A decent amount of PEDs if I would NOT map enmats on Rocktropia. That told me one thing....there are enmats on Rocktropia and I am gonna go find them!

Days 1 and 2:

I started out on the west coast of the quadrant and ran the entire coast to about 1000m in from the coast. Then I tacked everything N of 94500 up to skull creek and N. I also mined the area around the stages and the east coast from about 95500 S to 91000.

Equipment: EMF with 9 tiers of depth for an average depth of 1120m.

Results: I am very impressed with the sheer number of hits and the variety of hits! During these two days of mining I hit 16 different enmats! While the most hits (about 20% atm) was oil--the second most hits was Dianthus at 15%! WOW! Other notable hits were Alice, Solis Beans, Energized Crystals, Binary, Force Nexus, and Lumis Leach. There were 4 globals during this time ranging from 89 to 112 peds; including an 89 ped Lumis Leach global.

So far, it would appear Dianthus is almost everywhere and in pretty decent quantities. Loomis Leach appears to be bunched around the north and center areas of the stage areas (look for the big circular area of land around the stages). Energized Crystals are found primarily on the west coast of the quadrant south of 94000 and up to 1000m inland. Solis Beans are hitting on the east coast of quadrant 1 N of 91000 up to about 94000.

Just went out mining today. Very basic equipment, not as much luck in the last few trips over the past two weeks. Saw this and figured I'd see what was in the shallow levels around those points you mapped. Did quite well and turned a decent profit thanks to that.

Thanks for all the great info!. I just arrived to Rocktropia and am a mid-level miner with an of-105 and mf-104 unenhanced. Any advice as to where to start. I hope to make a permanent stay here and not have to venture back to Calypso.

Well...my best suggestion atm is to start in the NW corner of the planet and head south. Go about 150m in from the coast and mine to about 1000m inland. Go down those areas to about 90000. Good luck and happy mining!

I just wanted to jump in here and let everyone know I have not given up on the mapping expedition. I have taken a day or two off to hunt and take care of other business ventures. I am 50% into the ore mapping expedition for quadrant 2.

There should be a map up here by the end of Monday. Then it will be on to quadrant 3 for more fun with enmatters and ores...


On the time off, I have sharpened my hunting skills against Rocktropia's mobs. I have teamed with Beechbum for a wack at pop dragons, smacked some motorheads silly, taken on Lemmy's champions, and kicked numerous werewolves and merp like lone wolves. I also hired "EZ" to do a few pops for me. All in all, they were good looting trips. I got globals on every single type of mob and several valuable ESIs. I did have some losing trips as well, but overall the experience has been positive.
