    Default PE mentor program s....

I think that the mentor program are great (And as allways there are a BUT) but the rewards sucks.

I say that it's great that many will be mentor to help new players. Those who does that to get a great pressant is a foul. :jestera:

Until now i had one graduated diciple and some around 82%, 52% and 46%. My reward was a FreanD Alpha BLP Pistol Mentor Edition (value around 7 ped). I have also a lot (more than 10) of disciples that are below 10% (ready to be kicked) and my best guess are they don't play anymore.

Now - the reason for this post. I don't like the reward system that gives disciples items, money and stuff like that. This will only be a bad experience to the mentor when the disciples stops playing. PE need mentors, don't expect to be payed back by the mentor gift.

I ofc help my disciples with the same thing like you have posted but i never give things for free i help my disciples in the begining by buying there sweat and loot stuff to a little better price than market value and telling them about the trading system here so the can do good trades themself.

I'm affraid that you guys are wasting your money. If a player are dedicatede to this game he will play it without free gifts.

If you have to much money don't give them to disciples give them to me -

Good luck with your mentor program.

    PS.
A friend of mine did a lot of help to her disciple. A lot of team hunt (the disciple didn't do much damage) and i guess used more than 300 ped (sharing loots) to get the disciples graduated. What did she get? A knife value less than 10 ped!

And yes - i will still be a mentor i like to help other new players as i was helped.

    Ok - now shoot me.......lol

You are right that it is a waste of PED but I think you miss the point altogether.

PE is fun to all players but there are certain aspects of it that get boring really fast. The biggest being sweating in my opinion.

Having a reward system is a type of motivation to graduate. Most of the pixie items we do offer, we loot from stupid exo hunts and such. What else do you do with them other than sell them to tt. Why not try and help someone else out that needs the help? All together, we would most likely lose about 40PED per disciple. That in turn will be offset a little by whatever we get as a grad present iif and when they graduate.

I was the one that made that small little reward system. I believe in giving and not taking. It is a wonderful thing to see someone get excited over something so little as a pixie harness. Ask Slick. I got him to be a mentor for Blue and I gave Blue a little starter kit. Yeah it cost me about 70PED but it was well worth it cause the way he talks of me, how much he enjoys the game and all the other little things are what makes it all worht it. So what if he never graduates or if Slick gets a crappy candle for a grad present. At least he and I have the satisfaction of helping yet one more person find their place in this wonderful world of Project Entropia.

Thx for sharing your thoughts, Yquem, but I'm with Rob on this one. We're not looking to profit from the mentoship itself.

The reward is in HELPING people and seeing our community grow.

Yup agree with this, sweating is veryy boring and it doesnt cost much to get a disciple started. Hmm I have a bad exsperience from this though and thats when they keep asking for more and more, if so I see them as an bad bad diciple and I will kick him, Hmm and we will run into theese persons and of that reason the graduation thing is very nice. One thing must be said though and that is that 90% of the ppl are nice its just the egg heads (hope thats not something bad to say) who make most noise. Ohh well Im tired and cant spell properly but u guys tell me what to do and I do it

Thanks for the advice!! but I too agree with other guys Yquem, If I was here for profit I'd be a MA employee So I'm not worried if I go down a few ped here and there if it means I can give someone a nice little start in PE.

    Default To be or not.....

Mentor is timedraining yes, and some time we give away stuff to keep em going.
Four ppl has graduated for me and three more close (70-90%)
All i got was crappy item. so i gave em to disciple, or if they didnt want em i paied em full price for it (5-10ped according to auction)

I buy sweat/fruit from em, but some how my disciple dont gather alot :-)
I show em good places and help em out as T.S. RescueService ;-)

do some share loot hunts, where i mainly kill the mob.

But sure its frustration get crappy item i gues.

Must say i had verry good disciple Deity he was fast, no deposit and got global and hof, he was much teaming with another off my disciple Annie,, both lived in diffrent countries, but help eachother alot. Deity took 4 weeks to graduate, Annie 2week later.
They took care off eachother i just stand aside bought fruit/sweat and tagged along in hunt sometime.

Still I waiting for MA to give me Tange ME :-)
