Well first things first i would like to thank the Neverdie crew for fantastic events and competitions.

Tenacity, Todd, and Marius have been doing an excellent job with the running of the events that they have put forth. If i left anyone out i appologeize before hand.

With that said, i think that the event that went on today at Rampart was not so great, and let me explain why.

All the participants that joined in on the event were from all skill ranges form noob to higher level player. This started out to be a fantastic event. Then came the rants from some players that it wasnt fair, or that they did not like the no radar, or lack of mob situation.

I personally thought that this event was as fair as it could have gotten.

One had the same advantage as any other player to find mobs, and take them down.

The major problem was that some of us including my self had bravo's, or other high end guns that had the upper hand in this event.

I now look back and feel bad for the new people with little skills that gave it there all to try and do something in this event that was inevitably something they would not have won with out the lucky global or hof, not saying im uber or anything, but i got over 65k skills and could easily handle the mobs in this area.

Also that being said, there was a person who had the proper skills in this event to play fair, and still have a high advantage over the playing field to not have to do what this person did.

This person left the event area to go and round up a huge number of mobs and bring them back into the event area to kill them to gain an unfair advantage over the other participants.

Now i understand that this is a ethical situation, and that this is some thing to be debated on, but i think this was a cheat way of doing the killing, and this person already had a high advantage over the majority of the players in the event.

This person did global earlier before i happend to catch the person in the act of doing this what i personally call cheat tactic.

I can not however say that he used this method to get that global or not, i personally did not visually see that happen. So gratz to that person for his global.

I am not the person to sit here and call out names, or point fingers at people and call them out on anything like that, so i left the name/names out.

This rant is not to start drama with that other participant, this rant is to get the story out there and let people hear what happend at the event so that this can be fixed in the future and things like this can not be allowed to happen again.


I would like to say im sorry if i affended anyone with my swearing earlier in event chat, or public chat at the lower rampart tp.

Also i would like to extend my sincere apology's for swearing at this person and telling them to F off.

Yes that was childish of me to do that, but with the thing this person did it made me angry to see such a tactic to get the upper hand and be unfair in a event that you already had the upper hand at winning.


OK, with all that said, here are some things that would benefit some of the future events to come.

1) Limit events based on agility. IE: 1-30 for noob events, 1-60 for regular player events, and 61 and up for all other high level events.

2) State rules that people are not to use cars during events, or state that they can be used during the event, but not in a way that would allow them to leave the event area and bring mobs back in the event area for competitive advantage.

3) Try to limit certain events with certain weapons, i know this will be hard, but if we can try to be honest as possible we can do TT weapon events.

4) Petition MA to kick players from event player table when they leave the event grounds, and block them from coming back in again.

5) Petition MA to not have non event area mobs be brought in to event area from out side to be used in part of the event to gain an upper hand.

6) There is others but i can not think of them right now....

The thing that i am afraid happening is all the high level players that been playing for 10 years coming over here winning all the ped and taking it back to calypso, or withdrawling it from the game like they do.

The problem that persists with this is if we close the doors to these people we loose the chance of growth aswell, because they can come over here and loose all there ped aswell.

So i see no problem with them coming over to rocktropia, but the problem i do have is them coming over and pulling stunts like were pulled today in the event. ( I know im being a douche bag by being subjective here when i say them, but what the hell this is my rant.....)

I am a calypso born player, i have since moved over here and have been welcomed by many. I do greatly appreciate all the fun times that we have been having, and all the partys that we have had, and will continue to have.

With that said i have seen alot of spoiled events by people of this caliber over on calypso.

We call these the so called uber events because they have the best guns, the best knowledge of the game, and ofcourse the best ped cards to run over all of us in these events.

This is something that i do not want to see happen in rocktropia.

Though we need to possibly come together as a community and try and come up with ways of preventing things like this to happen so that even the noob off the ship can come in and have a chance.

We got a fresh start here and a chance to change things for the good, and right now Tenacity, Todd, and Marius are doing a fantastic job to help make this happen.

So we all need to individually do our parts to keep the peace, and to help keep this a tight knit family that it is shaping up to be.

We all can be honest players if we give it our best shot to be honest players.

Now i know alot of you will come out and say yah yah yah, we already been doing this.

To those people i pat you on the back for a good job, and i hope that you continue to fight the good fight.

As someone who was in attendance at the event, I can vouch for Monkey as I saw the stampede of motorheads (like 15-20 of them) following a car from Mid-Rampart into the competition grounds in Lower Rampart. It didn't frustrate me much at all, maybe it should have - I just knew that I wasn't gonna have a chance anyway with my little FG elec III chip.

I do agree with Monkey about the problem with Calypso Ubers only coming over to RT just cause they saw an easy event on the event channel there that they could ransack, then turn around and take their winnings back to Calypso, never to be seen or heard from again on RT until the next RT event where they can come back in and ransack it again, at the expense of the true "ROCKtropians" who have helped build and grow the community into such a tight-knit place as it is. If the event woulda had people like Cy win, or people like EZ - we would all be very happy for them, cause they're part of our family. But people we've never seen before and will never see again coming in and taking from the fledgling economy of RT just doesn't sit right with me either. Now, on the otherhand, our community has seen some new arrivals in the past week who have already been welcomed in with open arms and have found a place in the RT family already. It should never be to shun migrant Calypsoians from RT - but there must be some way to keep RT from being exploited; a way to stay a nice, friendly, tight-knit community while growing by leaps and bounds.

Get banned if you leave the event ground: then the revive has to be on the event ground and a TT would be usefull too, I got killed a bunch of times...
And didnt have enough peds to buy enough bullets so I threw my loot in TT and got back.

I'm not sure how easy or hard it would be to make those rules, and/or prevent these kind of things from happening... I've heard tales of Calypso events where people would go and round up a pack of mobs into a little hidden area, and shoot them to 50% just before an event, so that they regen just enough for a person to come in an kill them all doing half as much work, and other shenanigans like that, and I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent it. What I really appreciate though is the community aspect that you you bring up... I think it is AMAZING the way that ROCKtropia has already grown into such a tight knit group. I love seeing new people greeted warmly and people taking newbs, and imports from Calypso out to the various mobs, and making TP runs and generally making the community great. I love seeing guys like Harrison take off as a crafter, or Buxxy coloring, and Cy hosting events. As a community, we can achieve so much more than as a group of individuals.

I would like to approach this from a positive angle. Let's make it a point to do things with integrity, and with honor. Let's make that the ROCKtropian way. Rather than focus on the negative aspects, which we naturally would, let's do our best to encourage players to do things the right way. The vibe is already so much more positive, lets move it in that direction.
