Default Fly for 20 or Fly for 25 ?

We're all aware of the recent "flight costs" threads.
But I wanted to get an idea of the true feeling from the community, hence the poll above.

The Pilot Cartel / Queue system that was brought about by the pilots themselves is a great idea. We, as passengers, needed this to make the filling of ships faster and more efficient.

& it was working great... until some pilots decided to start charging 25 per seat instead of the usual 20.

I for one will not stand idly by, waiting patiently in the queue for the pilot in position 1 to fill their ship at 25 per seat while pilots who only charge 20 are behind them in the queue. What it has done is force me to abandon the queue and resort to PM to fly. In addition the situation forces me to speak in All Chat asking passengers "Why fly for 25 when you can fly for 20?".

Pilots invest a huge amount of money to obtain a hangar, why would they jeopardise it by raising the price?

If you're a pilot who charges 20 for 4, and/or 25 for 3 seats filled, PM me and let me know so I can add you to my list of pilots I will fly with. If you're a pilot who charges 25 for 4, good luck in your venture.

MA bleed enough PEDs out of us already, don't let a few pilots' greed hold us as passengers, to ransom, vote in the Poll now!

PS - I don't really care any longer for the "discussion" side of this subject, it's been done to death. Am only interested in the results of the Poll.

I voted 20 Ped, however, as a shopkeeper in CND I would like to see it much lower than that. CND seems to be built for a large community of players (if you look at the number of shops and the potential number of apartments). It would be much more effective as a community area if the price of entry and exit wasn't as high. In my view MA has got to address this issue asap and allow the cost to be altered dynamically to regulate the number of people.

There seems to be widespread community support for a wholesale review of the piloting system.

My view is that they should put the cost of decay at about 5 ped each way and then allow ND to add a landing and leaving tax which he can alter dynamically (in the same way that you can alter hunting/ mining taxes). In this way we would end up paying a more realistic 7 to 10 ped a trip. Changes to tax would need to be communicated clearly and in good time to pilots.

So - if it gets too crowded or ND would like more people on CND he could decrease or increase the cost of flying to and from CND.

I would also like pilots to get skill points when they fly which enables them to increase their efficiency - to give them an added incentive to fly and to reward the people who treat flying as a business.

The bottom line a return trip of 50 Ped means that you have to global every time to come to CND in order to ensure you get the roi on the flight up - this is not a sustainable business model.

Default Stomping your feet in to the ground wont help

I say leave it for the pilots to go about there thing there own way- unless you have the $ to invest in becoming a pilot its the system we are stuck with.

There are always pilots in control room that still charge 20 - If you want to use them then you too have to wait in line for that pilot to come up.

If not then you pay 25 ped on the open market thats a good price- If you are up at CND a lot you get to know people and then the cost of flying can come down even more ! some people who flew with one person came down for 1 ped by been in the right place at the right time
