Events Proposal for Pilots
As many of you already know, I have for some time now been making small efforts to help pilots and passengers get together for events, including at times subsidies to pilots to get folks to and from events, bringing empty ships or empty seats up or down as needed (such as the other day when the control room was full of pilots but the passengers were all on planet looking for rides up ), not to mention when I am hot to fly myself and friends and have no patience to wait.

Now that I am offering events on CND every Friday night, I would like to offer a proposal to all pilots who might like to participate. For every ticket holding passenger you fly to or from my events (ask them to show the ticket in the trade window and then take it back of course) at a discount rate, I will top you up on the discount you offered at a flat rate of 10 ped per passenger. Just keep a list of the passengers you flew at a discount (the amount you discount is up to you) and hit on me the Monday after an event for example and present me with your invoice. Of course I can't check on each of these passenger lists, only the event participants to see if they all turned up after flying, so this will all be done on the trust system.

If you choose to participate I will list you on my event threads as pilots offering discount flights for the events. You might also like to consider holding a few event tickets for resell as well to those passengers going but not yet having bought a ticket. For the once a month charity events of course I am happy to encourage you to consider donating a part or all of the stipend back to the charity event, but of course that is not a requirement.

I have a good lot of you on fl now, but no more room to add you all for sure, so I strongly recommend trying to add me to your own, so that you can for example let me know when you are flying for an event and particularly if lots of you are stuck on the wrong end of the flight path. Fliss, I know you have most all pilots on fl now, so please feel free to share this info with them and help them connect with me if they don't have me on fl yet.

Hopefully this will benefit all of us in the long run, at least until that long awaited day when MA creates a better system for pilots and passengers. My first signed up pilot to the scheme is of course my heart, Psycho Al, so discount flights to and from my events can be booked with him now, depending of course on how often I let loose of him so he can fly.

So, all pilots interesting in signing up, please pm me on the forums, in game if you already have me on fl, or hunt me down in game or through others. Don't forget to check the new event announcements each week on the forums too, because I can't possibly let each of you know all the details each week individually. Vous pourriez aimer considérer tenant aussi les billets de quelque événement pour revend aussi à ces passagers allant mais pas encore ayant acheté un billet. Pour l'une fois un événements de charité de mois bien sûr je suis heureux d'encourager considérer vous faisant don d'un dos de partie ou tout le traitement à l'événement de charité, mais bien sûr qui n'est pas une condition.
J'ai un bon beaucoup de vous sur fl maintenant, mais aucun plus de pièce pour vous ajouter tout pour sûr, donc je recommande fortement essayer de m'ajouter à votre propre, pour que vous pouvez par exemple me permets de sait quand vous volez pour un événement et particulièrement si beaucoup de vous êtes enfoncé sur la mauvaise fin de la route de vol. Fliss, je sais que vous avez la plupart de tous pilotes sur fl maintenant, donc s'il vous plaît sentir libre de partager cette information avec eux et aide les connecte avec moi s'ils ne m'ont pas sur fl pourtant.
Avec espoir ceci nous tous profitera à la longue, au moins jusqu'à ce que cela a attendu longtemps le jour quand MA crée un meilleur système pour les pilotes et les passagers. Mon est engagé premièrement le pilote à l'arrangement est de coule mon coeur, Al de Dingue, donc les vols de rabais à et de mes événements peut être réservé avec lui, dépendant maintenant bien sûr sur combien de fois je laisse détaché de lui s'il peut voler.

Cool, ty for the heads up Bane. What happens is that I sometimes do duplicate posts on the two forums, and to save my lazy self some time will copy from one and paste to the other, thus using smilies from one forum on another I suspect

Yes you have the gist of it Fliss. Only it is not just for this Friday, but for all of my Friday events, which of course are ongoing. Also, the discount the pilots offer is completely up to them, they may charge varying rates already anyway. Whatever discount they choose to offer will still get the 10ped from me per passenger. The idea is simply to encourage pilots to work the events, encourage passengers to go to the events, as well as the offer to help coordinate a bit as well if ever needed. No big deal really, just hoped it might be a little helpful.

Kimmi sorry it is too much to read, but it an idea that I would struggle to make really clear in 10 words because I am naturally a wordy bi-ch, so thank you MS9 for answering that one so clearly for me I also assume that means it is an idea that holds no interest for you Kimmi, np at all.

By the way, some of the pilots have asked if a translation of the original post could be done for them in French and German. They have the general idea but as an international community I can see how helpful that would be to them to understand it fully. So I have edited the original now with what is no doubt an awful translation into those languages (making it all that much longer Kimmi sorry). Hope that is ok Pollus.

One idea to think over : Is it possible that the signed pilots sell the ticket for the friday event in combination with the flight for those who have no ticket yet ?
I tried on friday to get a discount flight to cnd for the event but was not able to get one because i had no ticket for the event at this time.

Yes that is possible Stratos and I want to encourage participating pilots to get a batch of event tickets from me in advance of events for just that reason. I also leave it to each pilot to decide on the situation you describe, because for myself all I need is a list of names flown at a discount from the pilots, I can check that list agianst the registered participants, but if someone didn't manage to get a ticket or to register it in time (always a few of those) I will still pay the pilots because that isn't their problem. That is the trust system at work, I trust the pilots to think for themselves and not take advantage unfairly of my offer, and it is up to them to decide if they trust flyers who say they are going to the event but have no ticket yet.

So, if one of the pilots last night for example felt they trusted that you were going to get a ticket for the event once on CND, they could have opted to give you the discount flight and added you to the list of flyers for me. Hope all the pilots understand that point, but this will all take some time and trial and error to get underway and working smoothly.

I would like to mention as well that the only problem I had with pilots and passengers for the event last night was pilots pming me with more passengers than they could do in an evening and me trying to help spread those around a bit. That was pretty time consuming and difficult because if passengers wanted flights and those signed up to me couldn't do them all or weren't online, then it is important to know that I have no objection to passing them onto whoever IS online and can take them, no need to go through me lol.

That was just a small misunderstanding I think, but it was good too because it has me thinking more on the idea Al and I had (and others on the forums have mentioned it as well), about one or more central 'booking offices', where someone should always be waiting to book passengers for pilots who are signed up with the service and coordinate the flights so the pilots and passengers aren't standing around for hours. I will be having a serious look at that idea as soon as the events and some other projects are running a bit more stable.
