My CND lag is gone :-)
Yo,
I couldn't run in some domes without a lot of lag. I thought - hey, MA need new servers.
But this week I bought a new graphic card (GeForce 6600 chip), the lag on CND is gone, everthing is running fine. I can also access PA without much delay again, so I am happy :-)

I still get that damn lag as I go through the hallways because of it rendering the inside of the tower...however I am running on a laptop with an Nvidia FX5650 128 meg card....its not terrible...only places with lots of vegitation or those hallways lag me out.
Also, did you guys notice anything wierd with the stream the other day (audio stream)? It was all high pitched and fast, like a record being played too fast.

I get that .. I call it the Chipmunk syndrome, it sounds like alvin and the chipmunks - high speed, high pitch. I'm not sure what causes it, but it has been like that for me consistently for the last week.
Prior to that, it used to fix itself with a reboot of the computer (not relog of EU, but full PC reboot), but that hasn't worked lately.
Other EU music is fine, all other sounds and music on the computer are fine. And if I access CND Live through the web it's fine, too.
Any advice?

It's an AGP MSI NX6600GT card, so with 6600GT chip with 128MB RAM, price was about EUR 140,- (in Austria).
I can turn on "high quality" (which is a totally new feeling for me ...), e.g. you can run in dome #7 (big exas) from N to S through that small woods without any delays. (I called that "slow motion mining" before, got like 1 frame / minute within the wood with the old card.)
