    Default What clasifies a noob?

    This is just my opinion:
I believe a noob is someone who dont know all the funktion of eu.
Nor how to deal with riseing issue's by going off on someone or just being a arse about it.
i really dont think skills has much to do with it, it's growing up in knowledge and mentality.
learning how to be a respected person as well as a honest one.
Skills take years to optain, and it takes less time just to know what your doing and being upscale as a eu aviator.
Those are my thots anyone else have any to ad or dispute?

This is true Queen, just because you create an avatar today doesn't mean you can't deposit a gazillion dollars and chip up your brain to the fullest of skills on the same day, that in itself doesn't make you Ubber Player. You have to be able to communicate and interact with other players in an appropriate manner as well as having some skills of how EU is played before you can call yourself UBBER. You'll get more by being nicer that's all I'm saying and I'm sticking to it. lol cheers everyone and hears looking forward to being awarded that Ubber Crown one day

Well said dear brother ... I was rather impressed with your rendering there ... quite eloquent and something I totally agree with.

I agree with Queen. Not only the way you interact with opther avatars, but how well you know your environment functionalities.

    Knowledgeable is the word.

    Default My thoughts,..

It's a mixture of both knowledge and skills,.. aquire both and be noob no more,..

By doing things,.. All things !! you will aquire vast knowledge of the entropia universe and gain skills while at it,..

to be called noob no more IMO you should at least have done the following things,..

Have all TP's on the map,..
Visited both PVP2 (rig) as PVP3 (take a wager, what can happen? Die and loose a few ped)
Visited Both CND and CP (you dont have to be Uber to kill a kreltin young or aurli weak, cant kill them do some sightseeing)
Do some reading on forums / Wiki / Entropia Directory to know what you are talking about and how stuff works,..
Get killed by the mobs that Ubers have for breakfast and be able to kill those mobs (without constantly dieing) you thought were hard when you started,..

Am probably forgetting somethings here,.. and once again these are my thoughts,.. some may disagree,..
But when you've done all of the above your a n00b no more in my book

I've always though there are 2 kinds.

There are n00bs that are just fresh and dont have a clue how to talk to people or interact or play or anything. Also n00bs tend to be ignorant and think they no everything already. And can't figure out why they are loosing money using a MkV with 500 rifle skill.

Then there are newbs. Who pase themselves. Learn how the sytems work. Listen to others. And have a touch of humility. Although they dont know how thinks work they are willing to learn.

Well there is two versions. The is Newb (Newbie) which is just generally a new player who lacks game Knowledge. Every player in every game started with this rank. It's unavoidable.

Then there is Noob. To be called a Noob is an insult because this type of player is for the most part unliked/idiotic. Theses can be any player from newb to vet, and they are given the title by how they act toward other members.

I've done most of what Freyr suggests, (except for the pvp part as pvp just ain't my thing) but I still consider myself rather n00bish

I don't think there is a clear line between being new and not.... it's just a gradual progression.

I also agree that it's more to do with the knowledge and attitude than game skills.
