    Nice offer again ppl

I understand your point KingBuzzo and do share your concerns that if this was the norm then it could be detrimental.

However i think this is a great opportunity to show the world just what we do here and show off our universe.. nothing more nothing less

    Cheers

Hi Everyone, just a quick note from LA, getting ready for the show.

It is not CND policy to offer free flights. CND really only wants to support a healthy enviroment for pilots.

The Media Events this weekend are unique in that, We are spending money to demonstrate to the media the atmosphere in the club, when there is a good crowd. Which is why we have been giving away lots of cash and prizes...

The Club Is not yet Open officialy. When it is open, we will try to operate cost efficiantly.

It has been very touching to see special arrangements being made to bring the financially challenged up to attend these events. Its a true show of faith from the community. Which is much appreceated, but not officaly solicited by CND.

Glad this is resolved. Hopefully those who didn't want to speak up have a better understanding and acceptance of what has transpired, as I do.

    Good luck to everyone tonight!

And I will state again, email works, PM works. I don't want to hear an excuse of me not being online in your 11th hour moment of discovery.

Now, that said. My main concern that I would like people to consider is this. What if every event Club NEVERDIE subsidizes certain pilots? The business is hard enough. Do each of you really want to try to compete with someone giving "free" flights?

Please note I am trying to discuss this. I am not mad. I just want my point to be heard as just as you think it will help everyone, there is another side to the coin.
First, in expressing the "other side of the coin" how about you keep it respectful and not rude ... it's not appreciated.

If you don't want to take advantage of our offers then just say so and I will offer the subsidizing to other pilots when another opportunity presents itself.

From my "side of the coin" perspective ... offering subsidized or free flights by the pilots is helping to actually generate more business in the future, as was so eloquently explained by so many in this thread, as well as the one at the EF forum. It's not like this is an every weekend event where this happens. When ppl have the opportunity to experience CND for the first time, and especially the club that we're promoting with ND's future vision in mind of where it's going, it becomes an experience that they want to enjoy over and over again, which in turn generates more flights to CND.

With regard to your comments about emails and PMs, I stated that I was in the middle of putting together the thread and wanted to be able to post a couple or few pilots who we were subsidizing and to contact them for the flights. As someone else mentioned I believe, it was a matter of being in the right place at the right time ... so they got the business.

I truly wish you success with your business, but as is SO well known, pilots are just simply struggling to get customers, so the fact that JSA is stepping up to the plate to help subsidize some flights for tonight's event should actually be helpful in the long-run.

And let's get one thing perfectly clear here ... CND is NOT subsidizing pilots ... this is an offer put out there by JSA and any others who feel generous enough to do so ... ND knew nothing of what I was doing with this offer. I may be the event coordinator for CND, but JSA is an independent entity and capable of making this offer to the community on its own. And yes, I know there was a dual purpose in mind, but it's still not a CND subsidized effort.

For those that dont know JSA is MS9's Society the Jetstar Alliance with many a great person who have banded together because lets face it, they holiday on Calypso not the other way around and seeing the Resort full or busier makes it all feel more kicking for everyone, myself included.

Im glad that people can see the reasoning behind the free flights and i apologise if anything was misconstrued but as has been said this act of generosity was kicked off by people that wanted to contribute in some way but didnt have a way of doing it themselves.

As we were on their FL they asked us to help but if they had had another pilot on their FL they would have offered them. The fact that other pilots and other people wanted to do the same just helped the place kick on saturday evening, i should know, i dont know if youve seen on the "See my Face" thread on EF but that JD bottle was full at the start of the night ha ha.

Anyway i dont think im able to come on tonight but i wish the place all the best and hope that its REALLY kicking to show those media types what we can really do.

    Good luck all
