Hi Pant ... you should have been able to vote by now since I think there's only a short period of time after the 10th post that you have to wait.

However, I see that you've been a member since Dec 2005, just not an active one, which is fine ... not everyone openly posts in forums that they join.

We are in discussion right now about the most effective way to handle the open judging so that it's fair to all. This has been a learning experience for us, and input from the community is always welcome to help make all we do a better experience.

Hey "Z" ... sorry 'bout that, but a new usergroup system was implemented recently in an effort to maintain a more fair voting process. You won't be able to vote in polls until after you have a minimum of 10 posts at the forum, and then get past the 1 hour waiting period as well.

However, what we've noticed is that ppl have been going thru the forum rather quickly to get their 10 posts in, which is not what we had in mind at all, so we will be implementing yet another feature for all public poll voting in the future. Each voter's name will be visible and will show who they voted for.

We want voting to be where contestants are judged based upon the merit of their entry, and not gain votes from ppl just bcuz they're friends or soc m8s, or even someone deciding to create additional accounts just to pad the voting, which is totally unfair. At this point Hon, I would suggest that you just go ahead and make your 10 posts, and then wait the hour, after which time you will be able to vote. The voting doesn't end for another 2-1/2 hrs, so you still have time to accomplish this.

Thanks for the response MS9, It is great that you responded to all of the questions raised here. I think you are doing a great job on somehting that is very difficult. Keep up the great work and don't mind us grumpy Lurkers :-)

Not a problem at all Pant ... and thank you for your comments. Community relations is part of my job and I luv it. This is an awesome community, and everyone knows they only need to ask and I'm there.
