People lined either side of the runway,
and some even brought their own seating!




The male and female fashion show contestants
assembled on the mezzanine of the shopping mall
and waited to strut their stuff.
(not all contestants are present in these pics)







Once the contestants took the walk in their respective categories,
they collectively presented themselves in front of PolyLux and the
judges for a final view prior to a decision being made on the winners.




While deliberation took place, a dance party broke out,
and PolyLux joined in on the festive celebration.




When it came time to announce the winners in the 3 categories,
everyone assembled at the foot of the staircase in anticipation.




After the winners were announced,

"Best Female Ensemble" ... Lady Wolf
"Best Male Ensemble" ... Dub
"Best Clothing/Armor Combination Ensemble" ... OgiMini

They joined the panel for a photo op.
It was unfortunate that Lykke had computer issues
and couldn't make it to join all of us.

After the fashion show awards were given out, the prizes for the "Bombs Away" event, the "Evil Amp" event, and the "Speed HoF Series #1" event were given to the winners. I wasn't present for this segment as PolyLux wanted to go film the apt, so I was off finishing up business with our special guest.

However, I managed to get back to the Main Complex dome while NEVERDIE was doing the trade thing with winners. You would think that at this point, the event was over ... but Mr. NEVERDIE had one more thing up his sleeve that none of us knew about - so when he turned and said that he had a surprise award to give out, I was just as curious as the rest of the audience watching the all chat window.

The words that followed are forever lost bcuz I didn't capture a screenie, BUT ... the feeling? ... I will NEVER lose! When NEVERDIE honored me for all that I do for the CND community I lost it ... I mean I really lost it ... I was overwhelmed!

I wear a lot of hats for the CND community, yes, BUT ... I do it with a great deal of love and respect for our family and friends who either reside at CND, or visit us quite frequently. It's no secret that I boldly promote NEVERDIE's vision and where we're headed, and I will continue to do so as long as NEVERDIE and the community embrace what I have to offer.

When NEVERDIE turned to me
and opened up a trade window,
the entire audience was chomping at the bit,
wondering what the special prize was going to be.

I just didn't know what to expect, but since he likes giving away apartments as prizes, I thought perhaps that I was about to become the owner of yet another one, and when he placed a deed in the window, it's exactly what I thought.

So ... when I right clicked on the deed to see what apt it was, I discovered that it wasn't an apt AT all, but rather the deed to Shop #18 in the mall. How damn cool is THAT!!! Once out of the trade window and profusely thanking NEVERDIE, all I could initially type in the all chat window was ... OMG ... OMG ... OMG ... OMG!!! I then realized that everyone was waiting to find out what the deal was, so I announced it. Gratz and wonderful comments flew thru the all chat window faster than someone spamming trade at PA or Twin. I was just blown away, but ever so grateful.

When things broke up, Moonie, Olaven, and I went to check it out. Now I just have to decide what it is that I'm going to do with the shop, but what I DO know is this ... it will be decorated really cool, AND ... everything sold in the shop will be crafted items either by myself, Jetboy, or Moonie. This is just going to be too much fun.

IN CLOSING ... thank you to EVERYone who helped to make this event possible in such a short time. I would be SO negligent if I didn't single out "Zefram" for his amazing support and efforts working IRL with Poly "Lady" Lux and her crew. How fortunate for us that he was available to connect with her in Berlin. Zefram? ... much respect and appreciation for giving of your time.

And one last note ... thx for the pics Moonie ... I was just too focused and involved to think about, or have an opportunity to get screen shots or videos ... YOUR efforts are much appreciated as well.

I hope that everyone who was present enjoyed the event, and I'm looking forward to the next one ... but hopefully with more notice ... LOL ... running at Mach-2 with my hair on fire for a week is interesting, but I pay attention to details and details take time.

Wow a big Gratz to you MS9 well deserved it must be soo hectic not only moderating at both forums but planning events aswell, and thats without considering how much dedication you have to PE super story, super event and a super super lady.

I wish I could have been there, and now I cant wait to get back up to CND missing it soo much Calypso is ok but without you guys to bump into its a bit to baron.

Just before I go another big gratz to the rest of the winners . And can wait to see the video's of the event.

Very nice pictures and story MS9! But even nicer was the way you planned this event and pulled everything together. You did a great job.

And grats on the shop...uh oh I am in trouble if you put the same amount of time and energy into this! eek!

Thx, that's very sweet of you my friend ... and while I'm known for not doing anything half-assed, I don't think you or anyone else have anything to worry about. ... (I know you were kidding!)

This community is SO blessed with individuals who are creative, talented, and dedicated to the CND mission, not to mention having a kick-ass sense of humor to boot, but there's more to this that keeps my energy so focused right now, and I will be sharing my thoughts in an article I'm writing for the main page (hopefully).

I have a lot of promotional ideas up my sleeve for CND that will involve not only key ppl in the community, but the community as a whole, and I'm looking forward to seeing how many more airlocks we can blow off this joint. :wassup:

Really good post again MS9 I was unfortunately not able to make it to the big show but I was there in spirit lol. Gr8 pics moon and the story was really cool MS9.

That was a really cool thing of ND to give you a shop and I must say you deseerved it. You have stepped up to one HUGE plate here and have been doing a really cool job, even havin time for a bit of partying too
