Given the recent interest in the type of sales lines being used I would like to announce (drum roll) the pet sales line competition.

In short this is a competition to win ***** 50 PEDS or a level 3 Snablesnot Stalker***** I know, I know it sounds a bit generous but well I thought why not – push the boat out.

In my new(ish) role as pet tamer, pet trainer and pet sales person (my parents wanted me to be a lawyer but I took a more honorable path) I am attempting to sell these fluffy little creatures by standing at a stable trying to flog the little dears with wonderful two line artistic arrangements of words. Well, to be absolutely honest there are only so many combinations of the words ‘Selling pets @ stables’ that I can use. So I am looking for sales lines which add value to the general ‘conversation’ (rather than being spam) and are persuasive. There are only so many people out there at the moment willing to buy a scaly animal that’s most impressive trick is standing on one leg and breaking wind.

So – given the concern about sales threads being spam and my need to sell vast numbers of pets - I would like to announce the GREAT PET SALES LINE COMPETITION.

The rules are:

1. No abusive, insulting etc language
2. Must be amusing, arresting, interesting or humorous
3. Must be informative
4. It must not be more than two lines long (for those pedants out there – yep this should be the GREAT PET SALES LINES COMPETITION)
5. I get to use the line when advertising pets
6. It can relate to my pet shops and/ or the pets I sell


Entrants must place entries in this or the thread on Entropia Forum. The top ten identified by an independent panel of judges (me) will be placed in a separate thread and members of the community will be given a week to vote for them. The one with the most votes wins.

One week – the greatest minds in PE furiously pitted against each other in a desperate attempt to win a phenomenal prize – how can you resist joining in?

A word about the stunning prize – given the cheap prizes being offered in competitions (adjusted FAP, Apartments in CND, Implants full of skill) – I thought it was time to step aside from these materialistic prizes and offer a prize which will help with your path to greater self knowledge – i.e. a pet ). For those with an unredeemable materialistic streak I have offered a cash prize.

for passing trade, i took to naming my pets 'Yours for 50 Ped. Lvl 3'
(I think that was it anyway, i got bored trying to sell them and changed their names back to Bill and Ben). When the pet is out and about its name is displayed as: Yours for 50 Ped. Lvl 3, Exarasaur Stalker. I never sold one so it might not be the best approach.

Saves on the spam from you and fewer idiots asking if you'll sell them for 22pecs or whatever loose change they try to palm you off with.

I would like to explain that PJ did not sell me any dead pets, but that this was an obvious reference to a sketch by Monty Python called the Dead Parrot Sketch.

PJ is a good guy, and would never even consider selling me any dead pets. Slightly crippled maybe, but not dead. (That was sarcasm, people).
