I was looking through the screenies and it seems like there are many more mining screenies than hunting. Have you considered splitting it up into seperate draws?

sorry to bother but why is there a 24hr posting regulation on this contest ? Such a draw event should be open to all visitors but this only allows ppl to compete who spend a lot of time here. just regular visitors who got some hofs/globals in their past days get excluded.

reason I post this is that I had a number, but due to work only could post at approx 30 hrs after I got them. Which is kinda ridiculous imo that I'm already past time. if C, P is included you can always check the valid date, so imo it would attract more players if you would leave it open 48 or even 72 hours and give ppl some time.

The 24 hr rule was established more from a time-management perspective than anything else because each global/hof must be viewed and deemed qualified as an entry by myself, as well as assigning the draw numbers to each. This can be very time consuming given the number of globals/hofs that some of the posters get in one day.

Since I manage all of the global/hof draw events at CND, it can take up more time if there's more than one draw event going on. However, I will certainly take into consideration expanding the time posting rule to no longer than 48 hrs beginning with October's monthly draw.

On another note ... no one is excluded from participating in this event ... not even the occasional visitor. If someone comes to CND to either hunt or mine and gets a global/hof, it's just a matter of posting them. These monthly events are not exclusive to only those who are at CND for long periods of time.

Hope this helps give some understanding to this process, and the posting time factor will definitely be taken into consideration going forward.

I know all members are allowed to compete but I was aiming at this forum actually, that players like me don't always check once I log off the game. Cuz I/We mostly play too late and urgently need to go to sleep/work then

There is no need to extend the timeframe. It is 24 hours and if people want to participate it takes all of 2 minutes to upload a screenshot. If you extend it people will be saving up screenies an extra day or two before the end of the event.

I was thinking that also but doesn't make a difference in the end I guess. Hence why I asked why there was a limit at all. And why I suggested it could be 48 hrs (which is still limited).

I gave it thought and looked at what others were doing with their global/hof draw events and the 24 hr turnaround is standard. It has worked so far without complications and no one else has ever brought the issue up, so the decision was to let the rule remain as is.

It's also a matter of management which can be time-consuming, especially when you have some who can global/hof up to 20 times or more in one day. All you need to do is look at previous months to see what I'm talking about. Having to check each global/hof to make sure they qualify is time-consuming as well, and if someone is linking their pics to another site, such as what happened with the September draw, it holds things up with regard to numbering.

There are a number of variables that come into consideration here, and there hasn't been any problem with the 24 hr rule before, so it will stand. If you get any globals/hofs then I hope that you will be able to post them within the time period in order to give yourself an opportunity to win the prize.

Your suggestion however is appreciated.
