We've decided to take a new approach to a monthly draw event that could benefit the community in a far more reaching way. Therefore, we are transitioning from the monthly membership draw to a new monthly draw that will benefit both our CND Shopping Mall owners, as well as all patrons that visit their shops.

SHOP OWNERS / PATRONS SEPTEMBER MONTHLY DRAW EVENT

RULES

(please be sure that you clearly understand the rules - read them carefully)

1 - During the course of each month, shop owners are to take a screen shot of each of their pop-up sales receipt windows that show the sales information and post them in each month's designated thread. Each posted sales receipt link should contain a single sales receipt and not a pic with multiple sales receipts.

Here is an example of the screen shot required ...

2 - Sales must come from shop sales only. Sales from shopkeepers do not qualify for this monthly draw and will not be considered. All sales receipts must be legitimate and screen shots authentic.

3 - Screen shots should be listed in link format only. If you have several sales in one day, all sales for that day may be shown in one post. All sales receipt windows must be cropped from the screen shot and sized so that they are clearly readable and identifiable. (see above example)

4 - All screen shots should be posted within a 48 hour period after sale. No exceptions.

5 - Posting will continue throughout each month and the draw will take place the first Friday after the month ends and based on the EuroMillions Lotto numbers. The winners will be announced in each monthly thread after the drawing takes place.

6 - A "Draw Number" (DN) will be assigned to each entry by MS9 only, so please do not assign your own numbers to the entries.

7 - The winners of each monthly draw will be escorted by MS9 for a shopping spree in the CND Mall at a shop(s) of their choice. (see below for prizes)

Draw Method

• Based on Euromillions Lotto … EuroMillions

• Every Friday, this lottery generates 5 numbers + 2 lucky star numbers

• These 7 numbers (with the zeros removed from the lucky star numbers) that are posted at the lotto site the Friday after the end of each monthly event will be used to determine the winners

• The “Modulo” mathematical function will be used to calculate the winning number … you can find information about this function here: ASP 101 - The Magical Mod Function

• A number will be assigned to each sales entry in the order posted

• As an example: if there are 700 entries, and the Euromillion numbers the following Friday after a monthly event ends are … 9 – 14 – 19 – 21 – 34, with the star numbers being 05 and 07 … the zeros would be removed from the 05 and 07 and the number used with the Modulo function would be: 91419213457 … and the winning Global/HoF number would then be: 257

• You can test this formula out yourself by activating your Windows calculator (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Calculator) … enter 91419213457, click on the “Mod” key, then enter 700 and press the equal symbol … Voila!!
