Announcing the next in my series of regular Friday night events on CND.

I wanted to get this one up a bit early just to share this week's poster with you all, because my graphic mate Beck has outdone himself this time with my strange theme requests So a big up and hugs to him and my soc mates who joined in the photo shoots for this party, great job to all!

This week's event is the Longu Luau, a hunting event in domes 11 through 15 on the rock. We don't have beaches on the asteroid, but we can bring the beach party ourselves, so wear your best swim suit (meaning undies of whatever variety ), your grass skirt if you've got it, and party on with the mobs. The goal is to take out as many of the hula dancing Longus in dome 11 as you can, but as always feel free to take on the other mobs in domes 11 through 15 as well because they all count towards the prizes. My notes say that those other party crashers include Snarksnot and ND's pet Neconu in dome 12, Berycleds in dome 13, Snarksnots and Cornundacaudas in dome 14, and Atrax and Allophyl in dome 15. A nice variety there for most players.

Rules are simple: Highest Total Loot wins, all weapons allowed, and no pvp until the final 30 minutes, and only then if bounties are offered on specific participants. If you would like to place a bounty on someone you know will be participating, please talk to myself or Psycho Al before the event, and the bounties will be announced in the last 30 minutes of the event. I do ask that you wait a couple of minutes at least so the person's with bounties announced at least has some time to notice the announcement before being taken out This will be for one kill only per bounty, and any other pking during the event could disqualify you from winning the prizes, get you kicked from the event and lead to a neg rep, so restrain yourselves please.

Time: 20:00 MA until 22:00 MA
Place: CND Domes 11 through 15

1st Prize: 250 ped plus a free ticket to the next event
2nd Prize: 100 ped plus a free ticket to the next event
3rd Prize: 50 ped plus a free ticket to the next event

Discount tickets (16 ped) available from late Sunday or early Monday from Urso and other members of Entropian Green Tours as well as Mathayus and some pilots. Tickets also available of course at the dome terminal in the fertilizer room west of the control room for 20 ped.

These pilots have agreed to offer discount flights to all ticket holders for my events (up and back) when they are flying:
Psycho Al, Creature, FoxyPilot, Deth Gray Killer, Moonfish, Ambuli, Pole, Airedale.

Special Note: It is STRONGLY advised that you both purchase AND register your ticket in the fertilizer room well in advance of the event start time. The latest sensible time to do this would be at least an hour before the event. It is no good having buyers and sellers running around frantically in the last 5 to 10 minutes trying to get tickets and register in time, and it is a waste to have ticket holders unable to get into the event because they did not register in time or arrived late. So please everyone, try to plan ahead to make the event as enjoyable and stress free for all as we can. Myself and others will be available in the fertilizer room in the hour before the event to help if needed in explaining how to register and to sell last minute tickets.

After party at Beta South, Apartment 6F and prizes for the dance contest will be on offer there.

OFC you too Rip, get some of em for me will you please. Killed about 200 of the suckers a couple nights ago on planet and got zilch, nada, zip in the way of globals (was hit by that hunting madness that just won't let me stop going even though all logic says move on chicky )

I wanted to join this competition, but got all confused at the terminal when I read it.

Talk of bikinis and grass skirts, and having to read between the lines confused me.

Ive only just realised I COULD have worn armour (from ur post, right at the end), Thats why I didnt join in the end

Im really not being mean here, But can you just cut the creative jargon and post the bare facts. Oh and I speed read, ask anyone lol, so just highlight the rules.

Im logical, practical, and work from facts.. I have NO imagination.

Sorry it was confusing to you DJ, but nowhere in the rules did it say no armour allowed. I can't agree to 'cut the creative jargon' because the themes of the events are intended as fun, and if the events can't be fun I don't see the point myself to be honest. I can however make an effort to highlight the rules more clearly and also to try to take into account some things that I may have taken for granted were obvious to all but clearly weren't. Hope that is some help.

Update

The Luau went fairly well, with 25 participants. Thanks to all who came along, hope it was fun.

We did have a couple of issues, all good learning for me though. One was a player who could not register her ticket because she had less than the minimum 1000 rep. That I believe is an MA setting and not set by me, but I will look into it. The other problem was a player who didn't understand that the bounty time meant go for the named players only, rather than just anyone. This disqualified that player from winning any prizes. That was sorted too, and was hopefully also a learning experience.

We had three bounties tonight, and they were a bit strange as friends or even the person who took the bounty took them out first and then said it didn't count so let someone else take the prize I am gonna be tougher about this in future guys, so if you place the bounty it makes no sense to go get it yourself (thus paying yourself from your own pocket really), and even if friends if you take out a bounty it is yours, end of.

We had a bounty on Freyr, claimed in the end by Ripper, a bounty on Jake Turnsleft claimed by Lorkciee, and a bounty on Hay claimed by the guy who put the bounty on him, Sodi, so that was a moot bounty really, just friends goofing off I guess.

Our party was not a long one, seems most were more interested in further hunting and mining than dancing tonight. Our dance winners were: Nisse, Bristena, Muttley and Fop. Muttley and Fop you won free tickets to next Friday's event, just collect from me before the event next week.
