Annoucing the next in my series of regular Friday night events on CND.

This week's event is the Caperon Capers, a hunting event in domes 6 through 10 on the rock. The goal is to take out as many of the 'War of the Worlds' type mobs, the Caperons in Dome 6, as we can, but feel free to take on the other mobs in domes 6 through 10 as well because they all count towards the prizes. My notes say that those party crashers include Exarosaurs in dome 7, Foul, Daikiba and Tripudion in dome 8, Sabakuma and Atrax in dome 9, and Prancers in dome 10. A nice variety there for most players.

Rules are simple: Highest Total Loot wins, all weapons allowed, and no pvp until the final 30 minutes, and only then if bounties are offered on specific participants. If you would like to place a bounty on someone you know will be participating, please talk to myself or Psycho Al before the event, and the bounties will be announced in the last 30 minutes of the event. This will be for one kill only per bounty, and any other pking during the event could disqualifiy you from winning the prizes.

Time: 20:00 MA until 22:00 MA
Place: CND Domes 6 through 10
1st Prize: 200ped
2nd Prize: 60ped
3rd Prize: 40ped

Discount tickets available for 16 ped from myself, Psycho Al, Sniper from Skillin Villians, Mathayus, the folks from Entropian Green Tours as well as pilots Pole and Foxy (I will update this info if others offer to sell tickets). Tickets also available of course at the dome terminal in the fertilizer room west of the control room for 20 ped.

These pilots have agreed to offer discount flights to all ticket holders for this event (up and back) when they are flying:
Psycho Al, Creature, FoxyPilot, Deth Gray Killer, Moonfish, Ambuli, Pole, Airedale. Other pilots if you would like to be included in this list now and for future events as well please read my posts on the forums for you at

Special Note: It is STRONGLY advised that you both purchase AND register your ticket in the fertilizer room well in advance of the event start time. The latest sensible time to do this would be at least an hour before the event. It is no good having buyers and sellers running around frantically in the last 5 to 10 minutes trying to get tickets and register in time, and it is a waste to have ticket holders unable to get into the event because they did not register in time or arrived late. So please everyone, try to plan ahead to make the event as enjoyable and stress free for all as we can. Myself and others will be available in the fertilizer room in the hour before the event to help if needed in explaining how to register and to sell last minute tickets.

After party at Beta South, Apartment 6F and prizes for the dance contest will be on offer there.

Word of caution to everyone: Remember to finish up your mining about 15 minutes before the event to avoid any losses on your part. Last event had some poor soul with 5 XI's undrilled which she could not get to. It would be nice if people could pass on this warning to people they see in domes 6-10 or in the control room starting from about an hour before the event starts since not everyone visits these forums.

That is a good point Bane. A warning is given to anyone inside the domes that an event will be starting soon, but I am not sure how much before the event the message begins. So it would be wise then to simply be aware of all events in the domes anyway.

The miner who was locked out last Friday still had plenty of time after the event for some of the claims, as the info was relayed to me and on to ND, and those that would expire during the event, ND helped to cover, which was very generous of him I think. So in this case the person did not lose out, but it is not something he should be expected to do at all, so all miners need to be aware of and pay attention to events planned.

Ah sweetie you drop your bombs as much as you want One day we will get equal rights for miners in the event system I swear, but until then no reason not to go for it anyway.

Saw the pet that serves as an ad for ED at Argus last night, cute idea Just so you know, I realize that those on the other side of the Atlantic don't have much going in events that fit the time zones for them, so I am hoping to do at least a monthly event aimed specifically at all those players in the US and Canada time zones. I will of course post details once something is sorted and ready to go, and look forward to having you all join in the fun without missing work and at a day and time when maybe you can relax and enjoy it all a bit
