I have been recieving PM's from inspired people with good ideas for Events and Promotions. The Pink Floyd Event and The Orange party are both examples of that.

Creating and promoting Events can be very time consuming, especialy if they are to be well attended.

I have now created an arms length system for ticket resellers, which allows Anyone to work as a ticket agent.

Please see the relevent thread for details. Once Ticket resellers firmly establish themselves, this could be a very effective tool for event Promoters.

I Would like to encourage more player run events at CND, I will work with promoters to try to establish a business model for their events
in order to make them potentially profitable for the promoter

For Certain Events CND will also stream specific Music. And Sponsor Prizes

At present CND is not actually Hiring Event promoters. CND's budget for Events goes into the actual prizes..

Behind the scenes there is alot of work going on right now to creat some very high profile Sport Events, while im also working to set up a very dynamic musical database..

In the future I hope to bring in more high Profile DJ's for special events.

This sounds like a good way for more people to get involved in the promotion and success-building of our little party asteroid in the stars. This will provide more community-members an opportunity to earn some income as ticket agents, and will also hopefully encourage others to put their creativity to work to design new player-ran events. So let's see those ideas, peeps!!

I will try to reach Seeker, I know he has been busy during summer and had planned to hold off on Make-It-Happen for a month or two ... Personally, I've really missed our party nights in the disco (which were what made me first fall in love with CND) and would love to help keep the tradition alive and kicking ... and maybe add a new CND Dance Club Playmate twist or two.

As u guys may or may not know, i've been attending every CND event i could possibly attend (except klods event which i did attend last week :P) since the last fashion show! And since running the hanger its made it a lot easier to see how thing are panning out for Jon and his, what can only be discribed as 'The only hunting club of its kind in the entrire universe' and from what I can see its getting busier and busier each month.. the 'Live DJ' night with 'Junior Jack' http://www.realityport.com/forum/cnd...-marathon.html was a storming success and enjoyed by all who attended and if that was the sign of things to come in 'OUR' virtual world then im behind you 100% and happy to help in any organization, promotions or ticket sales if you ever you need me.

Future will for sure be very intresting, I dont want to miss it for anything. The event ticket resellers will be needed up at CND and they need to be good at what they are doing.

And yes its very time consuming to create and promote events. If u try to both good on ur own, some part risk to fall behind. U need ppl that work with u in some way. Without them it wouldnt work in the long run.

I see possibilitys for the pilots traveling up and down from calypso to cnd to use work in connection with the events as well. How about package prices for a ticket to the event and for the ride. Ohh well we will see.

Klod certainly knows well the time and energy that goes into making successful events, and we are thankful for the work you've put into the Champion's League that everyone has come to really enjoy and count on for their Sunday afternoon activity.

I agree that pilots have a great opportunity to promote events if they wish. Pole, Psycho Al, and Creature for example have all done a great job of leveraging the CND events to encourage people to take a trip to CND, and other pilots have started doing the same. Several pilots PM me often to find out what events are going on so they can promote them to customers -- this is such a great partnership for the pilots and CND. (p.s. we post them under events on entropiadirectory.com so check that out, too!)

I've been encouraging more pilots to consider event ticket sales. To me it's a very natural fit. When I've promoted tickets before for events, I've almost always ended up helping the attendees track down a flight as well, so this would simplify that process. And not only could the pilots make a little profit off the ticket sales, but also gain new customers for their flight service. And since pilots travel back and forth between planet and CND, they have a larger exposure to players than those of us on only one side.

If you're considering creating a new event and need help promoting it, you might talk to some of the pilots and see if they might be interested in partnering with you to promote. Not to say it should be limited to the pilots by any means, though, as there are surely others who would appreciate an opportunity to earn some income (or free ticket for themselves) and promote events, too.

Very well said here. I think getting more of the community involved in promotins like this is a great idea. In fact, I would be more than happy to help in any event promotions (and maybe some creation if you need help). Give me a PM here or find me ingame and we can work something out.
