Indeed, it was!

Broke the global-less days on Saturday, with Epic and myself (the Pres and vice Pres) taking out a longu Guardian...our second kill of the day even I think. How's that for luck? It made up for Epic getting bugged up and missing the weekend event. We both got a nice chunk of ped (although he desereved more since he stayed alive the longest time )

Spent the rest of the weekend grinding on basic filters. It's actually quite benifical right now, because I got nice amounts for rrreeaaallly nice prices over at Leeloo's resource shop (btw Leeloo, come back and restock your shop with stacks of 500 oil and lyst...you're out ). Guess it's nice since I can get at least 85% return, and two of my runs I made small profits, and got 6 new bp's in the mix. No globals from me, but Klod got a nice one while I was getting supplies...lucky Klod

To top it all off, I submitted myself to become a 'reporter' for the EF forums. While some may see it as overkill, I figure I couldn't resist getting more of the limelight. With stiff competition from 'Donald' and bluetail, it will sure be a race.

I pimped out my equipment book

Seems after a hard week of filter skilling without a global my equipment book decided to give me a small one of its own. A welcoming sight, no doubt.

Got 8...that's right, 8 bps in my last run, which helped out a bit. Got high enough with the filters for now, dampers will be next in line. Perhaps they will be more forthcoming with the returns ^^

Got maxed out on filters, so apparently the COS won't go any higher...its near the top but I still mess up alot of the time. Why can't I be perfect?! But if it was we all be crafters and be outta business in a flash. It's not exciting being a crafter, espcially a noob one. But on the other hand, don't see too many hunters or miners get back to back (if your buzz to back to back to back to back...etc. etc.). But like I said, I need to be constant!

My hands are always covered in lyst dust and oil stains now, not exactly the way a party-goer should come with, but it hasn't hurt me yet

Busy Indeed!

Flew down Saturday night to join a few soc mates into a becon run. Never actually been on one before (came close two other times, but lagg and bugs hindered both attempts). Still have full goblin, so I was going to hang back and be the team medic. Hung around the OWH service center for an hour or so rounding up people, then off we went!

Once we boarded, Larry (soc leader) gave us our orders and we moved out. Needless to say the bot's attacks against my commrade's vigi were quite useless as we disposed of them one by one. It was a 25 PED becon so the bots where gen 01's. Even then I squeezed in through the front line at times and took a few shots (and recived, thus quickly falling back again.)

Came upon the final room, the four others stood by the TP as comp took out the boss (not before making some funny remarks to it...something like 'hello bot. Prepare to die. Goodbye, Mr. Bot.' Now don't trash talk the bot!)

Ooooooh crap.

When we began, I picked the first level, because it was the easiest. However, I did not consider the length of the travel from the top level that I would need to run. As soon as we could we bolted down the floors, by some miracle the lag was subdued for now, and to add the icing to the cake the speakers were playing hard dance music, to the tune of 'deathday'. Man I wish I could've caught some that on video...however making a video was the last thing on my mind. The turbulence was getting worse as I tried to keep my balance on the thin beams heading downward on the second level.
Reached the 1st level with little under 3 minutes left, back in the shuttle bay. I quickly ran to the first box...empty. 2nd...empty. 3rd...7 PED, gnome harness and pixie mask. I emptied the level of all boxes, then the screen went white as I ran for the shuttlepod...

My avatar woke up on the same spot we took off from. Seems if you're on the 1st level when it blows you live. The others ended up dead and reivied in the middle of a LA. I wasn't sitting to pretty either, inbetween two LA's in the middle of nowhere. Took ~15 min to get to the nearest TP, memoiral Island.

To end up, we got 200+ PED, gnome harness, and a huge stash of pixie. Not bad for a first one. Got a kolbold arms and repaired some of my stuff. Took out feffoids for most of yesterday. Nothing big, but I was suprised I could take them out with 80% goblin.

No exicting news as of yet...yesterday I spent a few ped and 30 minutes playing with my new pet exo...well ok, not new (had him/her/it? for about a month now but I haven't been able to unstable it) Poor trainer beside me with his dak young had to move backward in his shock, as the exo was extremly large. And unfortunetly quite hungry as well. Running into the Jason center auctions, I bought about 200 bars to feed it.

Coming out the other tamer with his dak said he fed it one bar but it was still hungry. Well, as it's mammoth size, these beasties require 300 bars (if im not mistaken). Fed it my share, then played around with it. Had the usual show of the orange jumpsuits coming by and stare in amazement. I love taming big animals (Reminds me of myself when I was young).
Unfortunetly the bars were not enough to stable it again, thus it got hungry once more and my efforts for that night failed. Wasn't too happy about that, but I did skill quite a bit.

Did some more work for the ED. Now that I'm planetside, I'm able to do some of the more important task on the task list. Went to Nea's place, and killed my first Ambulimax! (Though it took three trips...1st I died while draining half its HP, 2nd trip got hit a critical 75.2 on the 2nd attack, then third time I did it) My prize? 33 PEC and an animal hide...what a hoot! As I was doing my assignment, I noticed that Nea's place is no longer Neas but Akoz...so by the chance of sounding like a noob, shouldn't be 'Akoz Place'? Or is it so commonknown now that Nea's Place will forever be in the TP list?

'Nuff of my ramblings...

However, one more thing before I put down my quill...seems Donald has finally come to our home! With his creative style I must say my diary may soon be challenged! Either way I enjoy to hear more from him.

Oiy...I better make 'employee of the month' on this one :P

New stuff everywhere, and this time the changes are most favorable (in my opionon) compared to the last few VU's:

* Nice new HUD to work with
* New items
* New animation when you find fruit (little butterflys! :kitfly
* Shader effects

I only found a few slight (but noticeable) flaws...

* Alt-tab messes up program, thus having to log out
* PeAss doesn't work currently
* Print button doesn't work at times
* Animal oil/glands replacing the looted pec/ped system - for now TT food, or residue for crafters
* Items must be stacked in Inventory for them to count on HUD. When buying probes/bombs/ammo, each stack is seperate from the rest. Thus when I went out with 22 probes and 1 ore charge, it showed up saying I had '0' charges...it still let me place it, and couldn't place anymore, however you must apprently stack all alike items into one stack in your inventory for them to count accuretly. Same with ammo, some times the ammo count would not change after a shot, sometime it decrease alot more than what the shot required. This is the one that bugs me the most at this time.

Other than that taking screenshots for posting on ED...defintly will be busy for the next couple days, hoping to jump back to CND in a week or two...still need to solve the music being spun in the domes...

A new day...

Waking up from the wet grass of the morning in New Oxford, I wake to a new VU. However, this feels different...everything seems...darker.

I look down to see a shadow...my shadow. For what does this mean, I do not know. However there are questions to be answered None the less.
I emptied my pockets. 5 cans of orange paint, some sweat and a animal hide. How does one hunt with items that total up to a whomping 10 pec?

I decided to scuffle my feet around and pout. I layed down on the grass. All of a sudden a butterfly lands on my nose. Ok, now I must be losing it. I look over to see a papplon resting a few feet away. Orange, red blue and green butterflys circled it above. Well, there's my ticket for a hunt.

However even the mob seemed confused at this new world. I tired asking them if they knew what was wrong, but even they wouldn't answer my calls. All they did was kick over some fruit and blew their trumpets.

This guy, however, must've known something. From what I could tell he was shoving a bunch of minerals and other objects into the machine and attempting to make some ghost armor to protect himself from the 'hummmmans'

None the less, I traveled to the new oxford caves...now I sorely regret that.

My dinner comes back with vengence

1 Year Young!

Decided to celebrate a little (ok, a lot...), one of the items i've most wanted since I joined was a helmet! No more ugly face mask, needed something with some beef! Found a nice vigi helm for 120 PED on auction with 30 minutes left. Taking my earnings from ED, I placed 125 on it. Down to 5 minutes left, then somebody else outbids! Well, aint gonna let that happen! 130!

A large bidding war ensued, taking what should have been a 10 minute win into a 40 minute power struggle. Well it was hard to compete, but lookie what I found in my inventory a short while later...

Works great, looks great, and even hides the 'eternal frown'! (Think my friends and soc mates will thank me...)

Went to twins to show the argos my new toy. Unfortunetly they didn't like it now I could wack 'em before they got me. It was absoulty incrediable that they were only doing 1 damage a hit! It wasn't the helmet alone, but it helped.

To my little party, I got a buzz from Star saying hi and catch up a bit. One thing led to the next, we were amarax cow tipping! Unfortunetly still totting half goblin meant I had to back off a bit. Sometimes I'd be working on a cambibo or something, then all of a sudden a heard of three cows came flying over the hills! Must've been the aftershave I was wearing...or Star's tango hitting bullseyes, not sure which.

No HOF's, but looting was minimal. I think the stinky bunny luck factor kicked in early when we had four cows with nothing.

Hello all...

Finals breathing down my back now, so I'm afraid for the next three or so weeks my time online will be rather limited. However I still get online to see Epic pwn an argo or Mindstar blowing the hell out of the ground...

Speaking of which when I was talking to her about her recent change to mining, I felt upon myself about my own professions...yes I had spent alot of ped and I did have some skill in everything, however my future in a permanet carrer is still uncertain. I almost got full vigi, so I guess it would be hunting, but I have somewhat better skills in mining (and funnier when going solo). Crafting is still low, but I feel like that's where the real ped is. Kind of sad I pushed coloring to the back burner, because awhile back I felt that would be a nice one...however the market of orange has skyrockted, and no one's exactly in the business of orange clothing. (Thus the skilling is taken care of).

What happens next, is for me to find out.

Only a few more days of hectic backbreaking work before I can simmer down for a bit. (Much needed R&R )

Finally decided that Mindforce wasn't for me. The chips decayed quite rapidly, the mind essace wasn't coming fast either and the lesser TP chip only saved about a minute or so run. So, I dumped all 5 MF chips and the remaining essance into auction. Still not sure about that 'commision fee', as it bites you when you put the item out and when it sells. However, it was worth it as all but 1 chip sold for buyout within the 1 day window I put out. Got the implant out...when all said and done I had a round 100.00 on the ol' card...wow, 3 digits, never see that much. Still need the vigi harness and thigh guards, however the harnesses on auction are 200+, so i'll wait a bit. Took a stroll through the Mining finders while I was at it, now skilled for the MF-105 and OF-104...hmmm I like the ore mining now since I can spend a few, but perhaps get an OA-101 light as well?

As I was thinking that I remembered I had a few iron stones from the last trip. Refined them, 6 iron ingots...yay, time to craft shin-guards! (A rare treat in the world of odd). Managed to get 5 shin guards out of the deal, all in poor-fair condition. I'll have to go wack some argos later for easier supply of iron.

Also last night, Larry (my soc leader) was globalin' like mad! He must have had like 20 by the time I logged off. What a crafting nerd (lest he gets the ped)

During last weekend I went on a huge snable slaughter. Man they were falling left and right, this time I found a really nice hunting spot full of providers/dominates/olds...not too tough, but not 1-shot kills either. Got about 50 wool, 9 thin/6 fine, about 40 cans of paint, at least a dozen pixie/goblin assorted armor, and the best find of the hunt was a 8 ped fap-10...can't have too many of those, helped take over for the fap 15 for a bit.
